I remember playing Vesteria for hours on end! I started in 2021 and played all the way to late 22. I had some really good gear (I don't remember what it was) and I was scrolling them and they broke. I signed off the game and never played again until a few days ago when my cousin got me back into it :)
Honestly, if they just fully fleshed out what they started and added badlands for replay potential, they would have a really good game. The magic is still there, they just changed the game into a metamancing/grinding game. If they upped the consequences of death and made pvp more rewarding and made the enemies harder and also made enemies drop more money, so that people could kill things for more than XP or the occasional dropped item. It also wouldn't hurt to rebalance the weapons so that people selected weapons based more on abilities than damage/damage boosts; even now berserkers (with the best gear) can get stats crazy enough to two shot an opponent with full gold tier level 50 armor. Due to the metamancing aspect of it, new players get a crappy pve experience because the metamancers grind down bosses health in no time, making it very difficult for new players to get new items and progress. That is why we need more balance. I think the majority of new players run away because the game is geared toward the old community and is not fun for them and also I think the old community is tired of the mindless grinding and want to be able to play the game for it's own sake.
Make an oldschool vesteria server man, i miss those days, i remember spending hours at mush forest just to find out there was a huge world outside yet to be explored, getting my first subclass, helping lower players at mush apoc, man i wish mush apoc didn't have level caps like now and u could just join up with a bunch of noobies to help them like before
Keep up the good work ❤ But, I don't think vesteria is dying cuz of the early game, I started 7 slots in the last couple of weeks to see how the redwood expansion changed the early game, here is what I found: Lvl 1-12 - Very nice early game, I believe Mushtown couldn't be better, I would've actually quit the game if they wouldn't revamp mushtown around the time I started playing (2021). Lvl 12-30 - Probably new players would grind faction quests, but they would have to explore the map to find locations like shiprock bottom and the Nilgras sewers, wich I like. 30-40 There is no way a new player knows where or how to get to the forsaken isles, so that is a problem 40-55 There are many things to do here, unlock the whispering dubes, and I believe more locations need to have some sort of battle or quests to unlock them, the pit, which is useful if you want gold, and terul's maw which I find to be very fun to grind. Vesteria doesn't need a fresh start, if you want to re-experience the game, make a new slot, or play on an alt, or maybe the devs need to make a super rebirth or smth. Either way, players need more ways to discover more locations, like quests or easter eggs. And the new leeks of dungeons expansions for the dragon pearch and the new whispering dunes dungeon will bring that "spider grind" feeling back. ❤
agreed. i think the fact that the game has gotten so grind-y is what threw many people off. Having more areas to discover would be nice, and it doesnt even have to be huge maps with tons of new changes, just some areas that require a nice long questline to unlock and actually require effort to do, something that players can be genuinely proud about completing
I don't think they can copy paste the old source code since the games code in whispering dunes or other places is too old since they did not tweak the base code even after roblox code changes they need to start from scratch and i think they are doing that thus the amazing p2w items in the shop so they mostly are funding a new game from the old by making it a money bag so i think vesteria wont be getting anymore big updates :( (my opion take it with a grain of salt)
The devs said it themselves it would be a lot of work just to start from scratch which would be a lot of commitment which many of the devs don’t really have right now.
i think they should work on releasing the badlands update to bring something new to the game to keep players busy for a bit and maybe higher lvl cap and then after that start work on vesteria 2
crazy idea but remove the scrolling system as a whole and make the blacksmith feature cheaper creating a lot less grind for scrolls just to hurt yourself with a item break or make scrolls that push from great to perfection NOT barely viable to good (also wth songmancer why are devs tryna make a 5th mage when the 4th isn't out and there is ALREADY a music based hunter)
Just make it less grindy and p2w and convince a huge youtuber to make a video of vesteria after some quality life changes, classes and locations. It will make og players play the game again
Yeah but a new game so everybodys progress doesnt actually get reset theres stil l vesteria where you have all ur items, but vesteria 2 is the new game
@@DecaulYT instead what I would recommend is better promotion for the game I have discussed this matter with some people and they kinda disagree in some ways but what I would recommend is a big update and good promotion (even without the update if the game is promoted and brought to light I see it having 10-20k concurrent players and it is also in a way us the community's fault cause new players may find it hard to start the game with how things are going and the economy is also going crazy
@@DecaulYT Making the game from scratch would be too tedious, also taking all the stuff from the base game and pasting it back into a new game will just create issues that the first game had along with more issues. It would be a practical data wipe even if you don't consider it as such as vesteria would stop receiving updates, I think the reason why most old players myself included don't feel the way we do about the game anymore is due to simply outgrowing it. We all played it for months or years even and so this game not feeling fresh anymore is because we're so familiar with the game and it's mechanics that even if there was a data wipe it still wouldn't be exciting at all as we know what to expect.
Reforging and the scroll changes just made the game seem unappealing to me The change was supposed to be to help reduce the powergap between super rich and poor players by making scrolls weaker so instead newer players could just reforge their weapons reforging costs upwards of 1 platinum ok.
My growing dissatisfaction with the game is the lack of something to actually challenge players pve wise, everything in this game can be cheesed or melted in seconds and makes fights no longer fun and engaging cause even if a new dungeon is released I know it won't give me a hard time. This paired along with PVP being practically unbalanced every update there's nothing really fun to do as I'm either being one shot and am too weak or I'm too strong and defeat everything. I think this could be solved but the developers would have to make a section of the game specifically for endgame players which they don't seem to want to do.

@@DecaulYT Take in to mind I have one of the best assassin builds in the game currently with a 25 added crit forg dagger The devs CAN make hard content for pve too as old ethera was a thing but they don't cause that isn't good for the majority. So you have a playerbase of elite or perfect builds but nothing to test it on with nothing being hard. and for the beginners and new players they enjoy the game but gradually grow into those elite players who can beat anything.

Yeah, it would be nice for there to be something for older players to experience fresh, I can see how it is now working well for newer players tho
