In all seriousness, as an Alabama fan, I love Kirby Smart. This guy will go down as one of the best head coaches of all time when he eventually retires. Only time I root against him is when he plays Alabama.
He's serious as hell. I dont think he is trying to be like saban. I feel like this is who he is. He just saw how Saban ran his program and made it his own way with that influence in his past alone.
It is about the coaching... but it is even more about money invested. Kirby asked for the same financial benefits and priorities as Saban, and he got them.

Not only is Coach Smart helping to develop a better player on the field, he is helping them to be a better man off the field. Hopefully, in the future, they will truly see what a great influence UGA was in their lives.
And Kirby has instilled a Loyal Devotion to UGA, that requires they all to buy in and devote all of their attention to help the Team. This keeps 'the boys out of distracting predicaments. They are Invested! I Believe UGA is approaching critical mass, and with back to back Championships will change every other program from now on.

He gets less touches because he’s a hell of a blocker. May not help his numbers much but he’ll find a hell of a spot in the NFL when all is said and done.
They don't give Washington the ball as much bc he is our teams best blocker. I would like to see him get the ball more also though. Alot of the short pass big yard plays we have had Washington is the lead blocker.
What people don't seem to get is in competition satisfaction breeds complacency.. The moment a dog gets full he stops hunting and he loses his edge.. All the while there are hungry dogs behind him ready to take his place... There must always be something to aspire for as a competitor so that you stay sharp and hungry... He doest let players rest on their previous successes because new challenges await.. It's a mindset that has to be ingrained into thr players especially younger ones..
