I've only ever been to the ocean 1 time in my life...for 7 days. The Norwegian Pearl was a great ship. After all was said and done...back to Colorado where I lived all my life. I miss the ocean.
End of an era for sure. When you are older, you’re going to look back fondly on this period and wish you could have just one more day at sea with your family like the ones you had for so many years.
Jack, what an impressive man you have become. I've followed Zatara for years and watched you grow. I'm 69 and would be proud to have a grandson like you. I watch the way you direct your crew and impressively how you accept responsibility for your perceived errors. Your parents have done a fine job guiding you. I would hire you anytime to Captain my boat. Kind regards, from Toronto

Im not sure, but by now this might probably seem all somewhat normal for you but I promise you're going to find this is probably one of the best things you've ever done in your life. I don't know if this helps any but one of the best things I like about your episodes is the education of the sailing situations in details that we don't normally hear. Keep up the good work! Actually Jack, making it for 7+ yrs without blowing out a sail is pretty amazing. Still sucks. I remember racing to Hawaii and I was steering and we rounded down with a 1.5oz shoot up, it twisted around the headstay like an hourglass. In the heavy air, no getting it down. I had to go up the mast on a Peterson 48 and cut down a $10k sail. I felt horrible for the owner...happens. Enjoy USA and good luck on the Captain License!

We were in that crummy weather on our cruise ship, luckily we were one of the only ships that were able to land at ports. Damaged vessel leaving passengers in Ocho Rios, CoCo Key evacuated. Luckily we just had deck chairs flying around while we were out at sea.
Hi Jack. I must tell you how much I love and enjoy watching you guys sail on the open waters. Im watching from Johannesburg and have never been out at sea. I'm glad also that you have safe voyages. I am curious to know how you guys generate income while you out there and what's the average time spent a trip. Lot's of love. Keep at it ❤

Jack, where are you going from Miami when your family stays on the boat for a few months? All the best!
We were in that crummy weather on our cruise ship, luckily we were one of the only ships that were able to land at ports. Damaged vessel leaving passengers in Ocho Rios, CoCo Key evacuated. Luckily we just had deck chairs flying around while we were out at sea.
I'll follow you through your journey.
Looong time Zatara follower. 🤩
Hi Jack. I must tell you how much I love and enjoy watching you guys sail on the open waters. Im watching from Johannesburg and have never been out at sea. I'm glad also that you have safe voyages. I am curious to know how you guys generate income while you out there and what's the average time spent a trip. Lot's of love. Keep at it ❤
Trust your parents and siblings are keeping well. Did you ever manager to notice the song that was sent to you from South Africa? Family & friends have asked. Stay strong. Kind regards to your folks and siblings!
