When my brother and I were about 8 and 6, my Dad took us to the Circle Star Theatre in the Bay Area to see the J5 for the first time of many times. During the intermission, the theatre emptied out to the concession stand. Mr. Joe Jackson came out of the pit and asked us where our parents were. I told him Daddy was getting us snacks. He stayed and chatted with us until the house lights went up and told us to enjoy the show. My Dad came back and we said, "Michael Jackson's dad came to talk to us!" He was like, you lyin'. He refused to believe us. We laughed about that for years.

I went to see the Jacksons for the first time on May 4, 1979 at the Sunrise Musical Theater in Sunrise Fl while serving in the USAF. I stood about ten feet away from the back passenger door of their limo as they arrived and ironically, the first Jackson I saw, and spoke to was Marlon as he exited, and the second Jackson was Tito. Fixated on Tito getting his guitar out of the trunk of the limo, l didn’t see the other three brothers until they entered the backdoor of the theater.
