I like it. I just bought it few days ago on steam for only $6. Everything you state in your review is true but I still like the game. I wouldn’t pay full price for it though. I play a ton of cozy games and I still play this every day or every few days.
glad i searched for reviews before giving this a try. building furniture seemed intriguing to me, but after seeing how awkward it looks, i know i wouldn't have enough patience. thanks for the review!
I like it. It wouldn’t have been worth 60 dollars but it was worth the 8 I paid on my switch. I like that it’s like.. animal crossing.. but focused on building instead of focused on the story. There’s a lot of restrictions to building in animal crossing, even with the New Horizons. I’m not very far in, but so far the nice small differences with the HUGE similarities… I’m finding.. quaint. But I can also see how it could be boring. I guess I was looking for boring 😂 something I can do on my own time. Build. Customize.
Always look forward to these reviews, so much insight and time put into these videos which really helps to make a decision on some new games to consider.
Since Animal Crossing is strictly only in Switch platform, it's nice to see that Hokko Life that resembles it on PC. Since not everyone can buy Switch is what I meant.
You can play animal crossing on PC with the switch emulator "Yuzu" (with al lthe advantages that come with like 4x upscaling etc.). It's 100% legal as far as you own the original version of the game.
I played this game for 4 hours more or less, and idk, i felt kinda bored. The world felt too empty, too small, because there wasn't a lot to do imho :/
Ok i might sound like a broken record by now due to posting the same comment on tons of videos by now but I still feel that its appropriate to say I get that everyone has their own personal taste and no one person is the same diffrent strokes for different folks and thats perfectly fine we don't all have to always agree sometimes it's perfectly okay to agree to respectfully disagree with each other just because some people out there keep insisting that a popular game like for example call of duty or fortnight is the best games on earth and to people who base their opinions on the highest selling games out there its definitive proof that those games are the best thing since sliced bread and it might inspire you to buy those games and that's ok at the end of the day its your money to purchase anything you wish to purchase you have a job you work hard and bust yo ass to make the money you make and how you spend the money is all up to you for me those two games call of duty and fortnight isnt my cup of tea i dont get the point in them i dont like them they dont appeal to me and thats fine i personally like this game i feel like i made a good 5$ investment in buying this game and just like every game out there if you're willing to be honest it comes with flaws is it perfect no could it improve yes is it worth the money at full price probably not can it be tedious yes can it be frustrating from time to time yes does it fit everyones play style no does it appeal to everyone no but at the end of the day thats ok we are all individuals with individual ideas thoughts personalities feelings culture philosophys and beliefs and that is perfectly ok
Thank you! Because of this, I made my decision not to buy it, unless they change that ridiculous crafting system. Also, they should add those npc personality. Similar to animal crossing mechanics only but can't be compared to animal crossing overall.

As I did not had the Switch when it was released, I loved it, played about 40 hours (but really hated the construction of furniture), but I admit, I am not sure I would recommend it as there are many better options in this genre now
@UltimatePerfection dinkum is a great game and probably the most similar style to animal crossing that I’ve come across. It’s only on PC at the moment but will eventually be released on other consoles.
I found a way to make this game more fun. Step 1 sell the villagers stuff for money! Step 2 kick them out and use there houses as sheds yes you can do that and the crafting system has been improved it move faster now this game is soulless but so are the villagers so I just screw them over and sold all there stuff to make my house bigger lol and there house now are my personal storage sheds you can play how you want the game doesn’t care.
Thank you for your review I really appreciate it, I think I might personally give this game a miss. Just wondering if you will be doing a review of Ranchers when it comes out? would love to hear your thoughts on it as its a game that i have been looking forward to.

I only played it for a few hours and came to the same conclusions. Great detailed review!
Thank you!!

Glad I could help!! Thanks!
AFAIK it works better on PC with mouse and keyboard than on the console.

Miss cute Larissa It's trying to be Animal Crossing. It's still an okish game though.
I think some animal crossing fans that want something very similar may really like this game
I'm Thinking about buying this tonight because it's only $10.48 on the Microsoft store right now
well I cant play animal crossing so I guess this game will have to do, plus its on a really good sale at the moment

Only way to find out is playing it yourself.

I'm glad you liked it!! Did you enjoy the farming aspect? I never got a chance to try that part
@@LamoReviews Must be in a quite recent update, I have not played for at least a year
What alternatives (besides the obvious, ACNH) would you recommend?

Does the character always run like that.
Hey Larissa, I'm not sure if you've seen but there is a new medieval dynasty game set in japan. will you be picking it up?
Ummm no?! I’ll definitely look into that, thanks!! That sounds epic!

Yep! I’ve got that one wishlisted on steam so will be playing that one as soon as it’s released :)
Can we have Animal Crossing?
We have Animal Crossing at home

Hahaha perfect
There’s no such thing as playing too many video games 😉 it’s never enough
Hahah yes!! Love that
I was surprised to see this game has such good reviews on steam. It is ROUGH.
Right?! I thought maybe I was the odd one out but seems a lot of people have similar opinions
i couldnt play and returned it because the animals creeped me out too much 😭☠️
I totally get that
I really like this game but on switch the designing is just awful.
Yep 100%!
I got it for 4.99+
clone of animal crossing. :/
