"Who Says It First"《戏谁先说》

"Who Says It First" is Nam Hwa Opera’s first foray into a modern Mandopop musical with Teochew opera elements.
With a mission to promote an appreciation of Chinese dialects and Chinese cultural identities, "Who Says It First" is set against an atmosphere of an instantly relatable modern Singaporean nuclear family.
In the story, the modern and the traditional meet and collide with joyful, and devastating outcomes. An ageing Singaporean society is also explored through the lens of dementia.
《戏谁先说》是南华潮剧社首创的音乐歌剧，全面融入现代新加坡社会的家庭氛围、年轻一代的思想，并采用了流行音乐与潮剧的唱法，体现出年轻一代方言文化流失的现象，以及失智症者的苦与乐。
