What I love about Only Yesterday is that it could easily have been a live movie that wouldn't have needed a particularly large budget but instead we get one of the most beautifully animated movies of all time! It's the attention to the backdrops and small details that makes it and all the Studio Ghibli movies so special!
Simple this movie is for adults❤
Truly a masterpiece. Makes you cry and yearn and reminisce and hope and smile.. As a woman in her 30s like the protagonist, it resonated so much with me.
She is 27, but those exaggerated cheek lines when she smiled made her look a lot older 😂
Beautifully summarised. Loved it😍😍😍
Very few people tend to understand the movie and it hits completely different than the other Ghibli's movies. Most underrated movie in the Studio Ghibli's production.
Ta-e-ko.
