You got a great little turntable, there! I have one just like it hooked into my home theater system and it sounds great! I'm probably at the point where I need to think about replacing the stylus, but that is easy to do. I will also never disparage anyone using a Crosley suitcase-style record player to listen to their music. Music is meant to be enjoyed, however you can enjoy it! Unless you have some really valuable or rare vinyl record, I wouldn't worry too much about using the Crosley - go ahead and use it if you want. Certainly it won't sound as good as your AT-LP60X or an even better table, but it doesn't violate the standard for vinyl record pressings. I think you'll really like your new turntable and it should give you lots of great service. Those speakers look pretty nice too!
@@MeganWakefield records were originally designed to withstand 5 to 6 grams of tracking force (the weight the stylus places on the record)a crosley tends to have a tracking force of 5 grams so your records should be fine, still wouldn't recommend playing anything rare on a crosley though.

it doesn't damage your records. its a common myth/circlejerk by online audiophiles. your original record player was "fine". The sound quality is obviously not great because of the inbuilt speakers, but the player doesn't physically damage your records (it may have done with older models in the past, but not this one). Did you ever have problems with records playing at weird speeds on your crosley player?

I know this is two years old but to clarify a few things NO the Crosley or Victrola s won't ruin your records... That is a myth that has been debunked... Records can handle up to 9 grams of tracking force... These are usually about 5 grams. That is what a ceramic cartridge is supposed to track at...... So unless you played your records 8 hours a day 7 days a week , your records will last just fine.... While I agree the built in speakers on the suitcase players are horrible... I guarantee if you hooked up those same speakers you bought to your Crosley it's would sound 100x better. But i do agree overall this is a step up and overall your sounds quality will be more enjoyable.. but i hope you kept the Crossing Crosley... They are very aesthetic and hooked up to a decent set of speakers they can give off a pretty decent sound..... But again no your records won't get ruined.. the Internet is a funny place. Enjoy.
