Hey dude. Very nice! The Viper is one of the best acquisitions in DCS. I highly recommend him. My tip to you is not to try to learn everything. If you bought him to fly multiplayer, first learn how to use air-to-air weapons, and the air-to-ground for later. But I think that before trying to use any weapon, practice takingoff and, especially, landing. Doing it right with him is pleasurable. Congratulations. 11 miles or more depending on the situation 😁. Yes. In the Contantion 80s, both can carry fox1 and fox2 (Sparrow and Sidwinder), unlike the F-16 which can only fox2. Tks man 🍻

The new update (DCS 2.9.6.57650 - 11.07.2024) changed some missiles like the AIM 7's, look below: Weapons. AIM-7E/E2 mass decreased. This means they may be more agile and harder to dodge in the F-16C when going up against F-18's and F-15's etc, on the Contention 80's Syria Multiplayer Server. :(

Only empirical knowledge on the server hahaha 😅. It has been working well. I've been getting these shots a little further than 11 miles. One thing I notice is that sometimes it can set the tone at 15, 14 miles, but between 10 and 5 it stops, and comes back when the target is closer. Sometimes this happens. In the next few days I will fly on the Blue side, on the FA-18. So I'm going to use the M version and observe what you said 😉💪. Thanks man! 😎
@@nazguldcs I'm a noob myself, only recently started PVP flying, and when I asked about which aim9 version is best everyone said to go for the M :) and as I fly F16 as well, that was quite important for me :D

I know the p5 have smokeless trails
IIRC 9M was the version the US used themselves and 9P was the export model. In my team, we always go for the 9M if available
