  • This video by Harpy Cloud Solutions (HCS) demonstrates how to configure private access to your Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). The setup comprises of the following steps.
    - Create a VNet, Subnet, and NSG
    - Create an Azure Virtual Desktop
    - Disable public access to the host pool
    - Create Private Endpoint
    - Disable public access to the workspace
    - Create a VM in an Internal Network and a Bastion host to test connection.

Good video. One question, can I've one workspace restricted to private access and another one with public access?

      Yes.
So you do not create a private endpoint for the Workspace which requires Public access

Very good video and much appreciated. One question? Can this private access be configured for the Company Portal ( Intune) or the DevCenter?

Hello thanks for the kind comment.
Because Intune is a SaaS solution, the private access cannot be set up the way we did the one for Azure Virtual Desktop. However, I am looking into that of Dev Center to explore the possibilities.
If access is a concern to you for Intune, you can employ the principle of least privilege and also set up Privilege Identity Management for those who need access.
We would also love to see you as a subscriber and we are very open for you to suggest videos that you would like to see and we would work towards making it happen.

@@HarpyCloudSolutions thank you for the response....I'm just trying to find the best solution for remote developers to access resources through a private link. I know I can use AVD and Intune, I've also configured Entra Global Secure access (GSA), but GSA doesn't provide private access. The Azure DevCenter is perfect because it works like Entitlement catalog, but I don't want any remote worker to use public link to access resources. IF the Company Portal can be put behind a private link that would be sweet.

@@studioj8520 That makes sense. I would definitely explore private access for DevCenter and let you know my findings.
