i use api from the example given on the part 1. tutorial from the part 1, there should be links in the video pages after connecting to the server. but mine was blank. i tried to follow this part of the tutorial but i cant follow up because there was no video. when i check on the server, its say connected.
tags look great! I can't say which is better for the video player, but they'll help a lot with libraries where there's not a dedicated Nuxt strategy. Thanks for pointing them out!
HI, thanx for this great project. I have a little question the method getTag returned undefined and when i tried to use it as async method i got an object promise
Towards the beginning you mentioned that there are some compatibility issues with Vuetify and Nuxt, for lack of a better term. Is this something that would be seen in dev or only when you try to build for production?
What I remember saying in the previous video was that when you use the Vuetify option given at the beginning, during nuxt setup in the CLI, it goes overboard with a lot of styling you probably don't want. I don't remember making stronger claims than that, but it's possible I did... Can you point me to a timestamp?
@@jeffrey_codes I think it was something I inferred from you mentioning (starting around 4:10) that some packages work out of the box with Vue but not with Nuxt. You then go on to say that Vuetify has "custom modules that you can install that work out of the box". I tend to try to stay away from packages just to get compatibility if not necessary (nothing philosophical, just personal) and I was watching on my phone so I didn't realize the package was from nuxt-community on github. It was my error.
@@JeffPohlmeyer Ah, that makes sense. Based on what I've seen of Nuxt so far, that preference means you'll be writing a fair bit of custom plugin boilerplate, but hopefully the burden of integrating with Nuxt will continue to decrease.
Hello there, I am new to rails framework and I found that server code on github. I would like to know how can I run this code or what commands we need run in order to consume this API in my localhost. Is there any hosted server to consume this API on fly. Thanks in advance
Hey Durga, If you have Ruby installed and Rails installed, then make sure you're in the root directory of the project. * run `bundle install` to get packages installed, * run `rake db:create` and `rake db:migrate` to get the database working. * run `rails s` to start your server It will run on localhost:3000 by default. I learned Rails using The Rails Tutorial, and the first chapter has a section on installing rails: www.railstutorial.org/book/beginning#sec-installing_rails You can choose to go further in the book if you want to be able to tweak the backend. Another option, of course, is to remake the backend in something you're more familiar with.
@@jeffrey_codes I couldn't figure out how to run the server either. I don't know what commands are necessary to run the server and what pre-requisites are necessary.
Thanks, just looked for something good about how Nuxt work with its pages, layout, store, and your videos are really good!

I think easier path for video player would be to use it like before and just wrap it in tags.

@@jeffrey_codes better place for all that import vue stuff is making a plugin file in the plugins folder and then specify it on the nuxgt.config.js
Great as always, thanks Jeffrey
Thanks!

The best place to register the directive is as a plugin for Nuxt and add the register the plugin in nuxt config
Great video ! Amazing !
Thanks!
