Just to answer a few questions: yes, I know they released new rolling stock and accessories I don't think I'll review those. I know lionel is making a 90 model. And please please please refrain from commenting about the old videos these models used to be in. Please. If I wanted to be called by that name I would still have it as my TH-cam name wouldn't I?
What an amazing review. I actually started my electric train collection by collecting all the Thomas engines after me and my grandfather searched for his old (stuff that I'm pretty sure is Pre-war) stuff along time ago. I may not use the Lionel engines much these days since I don't have much space to run them sadly, but they are very nice pieces of Thomas and Friends. Congratulations on reuniting your entire family of engines. :)
At least I painted around the eye mechanism holes to make them flow in with the eyes and face a bit better - only for Bert as I still lack perfect luck to find his separated twin. Even back then, I couldn't afford them in my savings when they came together at $230 USD but I can afford them easily at a separate price. I'm fine with them having the ladders as Hornby did the same thing long ago when they use to make them (with Splatter and Dodge's expression faces) for their Thomas range in the UK. But if you look at the front and notice you'll see they aren't suppose to have that pipelining connected to what is their head code lamps on the front. Diesel has it but the twins were not suppose to, as they never had it in the TV series either. One thing Lionel should have done was add in more characters like Paxton and Sidney, being the same basis which would have worked, in their Thomas range. It annoys me just to see them make more rolling stocks and buildings for the range and upgrade the model engines, but not adding in more newer characters to the market range. Another thing that your hobby does is get you closer to your friends that are by your side every step of the way each day, and it is one of many treasures you can have regardless whether they collect O-Gauge or not, they are in your life, along with a piece of your grandfather spirit still alive in his old and rare model trains you now hold in your hands. Who knows? He's probably by your side right now saying "I'm proud of you".
I have the conventional Thomas Percy Diesel and James, and the lionchief Christmas Thomas and I must say I am glad you’re reviews are out there for people to see. PS, I wonder why Lionel never tried to make a model of Toby. The motor could fit inside his chassis and I think that fit a brief time before the conventional Diesel came out, Lionel had proposed Mavis instead of him.
I don't really collect Lionel Thomas. (me living in Britain and aswell them rather big). but I wish they would make more Characters in the Thomas line. like mabey Edward, Henry or Gordon.

The Lionel Chief engines look real nice, I can't really afford the switch to O Gauge from all the HO I have but if I had a chance to switch to O Gauge I think I'd take it.
Very nice reviews on the Thomas & Friends lineup. I collect Lionel O gauge trains and even have my late-Grandpa's Lionel 1654 Postwar Scout set he got and it runs flawlessly. I have always been a Lionel fan and a Thomas fan as long as I can remember. While they do have their flaws, I'd love to have all the Lionel Lionchief Thomas collection as they bring back memories of playing with the vintage Ertl, Tomy bluetrack and the wooden railway Thomas toys. Plus I like they are more about play value than scale which is good for those getting into the hobby. I hope in the future after I get all Lionel O gauge Lionchief Thomas trains, I would also like to make my own lineup of Lionel-based Thomas characters such as Henry, Gordon, Bill & Ben, Donald & Douglass, and many more using various parts out there. Also if I ever get to build my dream layout, I would love to recreate parts of Sodor like it was done for the model years of Thomas. Very good job!
I started out with Rusty to the Rescue and Duke the Lost Engine. The Nostalgia is real when it comes to these engines. I might just have to buy Percy, James, and Diesel in lionchief with Bluetooth.
Am I the only one who feels like Lionel should expand their Thomas range, as currently they only have 4 engines (since the Iron Twins are discontinued) Why not try and make some of the major characters like Gordon or Emily or even characters like Duck, Rosie and Paxton?

It's a shame Lionel's Thomas & Friends range is discontinued, especially when there is only six engines. I love this review.
It isn't really discontinued they still produce the 4 locomotives and they just released some new rolling stock and accessories this month

And I said that in the video and then said I wont be reviewing them or rebuying every engine just to be up to date

Iron Arry and Iron Bert were in the 2015 catalog
And didnt come out until 2016. Catalog doesnt always follow the year. Look at Bachmann's stuff, years and years late
