തിരുമേനി വലിയ മനസ്സിന് ഉടമയാണ് സംശയമോന്നും ഇല്ല. വിവിധ മതങ്ങളോടുള്ള സഹിഷ്ണുതയും പ്രശംസനീയമാണ്‌. അദ്ധേഹത്തിന്റെ വാക്കുകള്‍ തീര്‍ച്ചയായും ജനത്തെ തന്നിലേക്ക് ആകര്‍ഷിക്കും.
എന്നാല്‍ കര്‍ത്തവിനെ അത് പ്രസാദിപ്പിക്കുമോ? എന്നാല്‍ സത്യദൈവത്തിന്റെ (കര്‍ത്താവിന്റെ) മഹാപുരോഹിതന്‍ എന്ന നിലയില്‍ തന്നത്താന്‍ സൂക്ഷിക്കേണ്ട കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ മറന്നു.
ഹൈന്ദവ ദേവാലയങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള പ്രസാദം അദ്ധേഹം ഭക്ഷിക്കുമെന്നു പറയുന്നു. അവ അതത് ദേവന്മാര്‍ക്കുള്ള വഴിപാടുകളല്ലേ. അവ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ ആസ്പദമാക്കിയുള്ള ആരാധനകളല്ലേ?.
എല്ലാ മതങ്ങള്‍ക്കും അവരുടെ ആചാര്യന്മാര്‍ക്കും അവരുടെതായ മതപരമായ നിഷ്ടകളുണ്ട്. അത് വിട്ടു പ്രവത്തിക്കണം എന്ന് ഇതര മതസ്ഥര്‍ ആവശ്യപ്പെടില്ല. ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടാല്‍ അത് ശരിയുമല്ല. മറ്റു മതങ്ങളോടുള്ള സഹിഷ്ണുത എന്നാല്‍ സ്വന്തം നിഷ്ടകള്‍ മറന്നു പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുക എന്നുള്ളതല്ല. അവരുടെ തനിമയെയും അവര്രുടെ വ്യക്തിത്വത്തെയും മാനിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, കര്‍ത്താവിനെ അവര്‍ക്ക് കാണിച്ചു കൊടുക്കുക എന്നുള്ളതാണ് ക്രിസ്തീയ ധര്‍മം.
ഇവിടെ തിരുമേനി ജനത്തെ പ്രീണിപ്പിക്കാന്‍ തന്റെ പട്ടത്വത്തിന്റെ നിഷ്ടകള്‍ മറന്നുപോയോ?

യിസ്രായേല്‍ ബാല്‍പെയോരിനോട് ചേര്‍ന്നു. യഹോവയുടെ കോപം യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ നേരെ ജ്വലിച്ചു.

അനന്തരം അവര്‍ ബാല്‍പെയോരിനോട് ചേര്‍ന്നു. പ്രേതങ്ങള്‍ക്കുള്ള ബലികളെ തിന്നു.
ഇങ്ങനെ അവര്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ ക്രിയകളാല്‍ അവനെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചു.
People should see Christ through you. Jesus himself drank water that the Samaritan woman offered. When Chrysostam eats food from temples, I don't think he considers it as prasadam of that particular 'devan' or 'devi', rather he considers it as food. It is our word and actions that spoil us and not what we eat. Jesus himself said that.
