I was saying "don't cut that way you'll cut yourself" . I still jumped when you did it! Hope you heal fast!! I made a couple of these the other day. Quick and easy.
Omg, have just found you... the passion you have for bagmaking is so solid we can all enjoy a piece. Have been binge watching since then. Thank you... the feelings you communicate towards your designs fill our heart with warmth. And you own the best gear overall, right? My husband and I were just saying that all feels so natural we could sit and enjoy your work for days. I'm 43, autistic with a sewing hyperfocus since I was a child. Love me some bag-making myself (have gone full blown industrial, yet not 3ple feed as the fabricator, but 2ble feed - minus the needle shaft, because it's easier to navigate back and forth lighter weights, as I also make our clothing). Rotary cutters are so fancy around here... the ones I can afford barely resemple the sharpness of an Olfa fresh blade. But still, when learning, a couple of wounds have happened (happens to the best of us, I guess...). I just wanted to thank you so much for sharing your passion. We can feel it... Also, very very veeeery nice you share pattern sources, materials, impressions. Helps a lot when we're from abroad. Warmest regards (and the weather sure has been hell-like these last few days), from your very new Brazilian fans. (Ps. Not native speaker, please overloook any language mistakes) (Ps.2 we are pattern weight pals, mine are also solid glass, but cubes)
Ouch! 😢 Boy that happens so fast. I agree don't be in a hurry. I keep telling myself that while I'm sewing up a quilt. Cutting is my least favorite part of any sewing. Love watching your videos. 🥰 I bought my heat press off of marketplace too, works great and I love making grandkids vinyl tee shirts.
I love sew fuse plus! I buy 10 yards at a time! I still keep decovil and use it too but small projects that I’m trying to save money on. I use sew fuse. The reg sew fuse is nice too!
I love this pattern. Cannot wait to make this. Looks so simple and easy. Need this for my car. I also love all Disney stuff and have admired all your Disney tops. Minnie is a hit.
First off....love your Minnie mouse shirt! Would love to have one myself! I like extra large shirts myself too.. really comfy. Thanks for posting this video. Have a great day!😊
@@jeanniesdesigns5295 I believe we are close to the same age and have a lot of the same ideas on things, so it is so refreshing to watch your videos!! I wish we could meet in person, although will most likely not happen. I am in Wisconsin and don’t get to Florida very often. Thank you for your videos and live feeds, keep it up as long as you love doing it!!!! Karen
I was making flying geese and trimming the top when I cut the same finger as you except I cut the top of my finger off. Had to go to the ER and have it soderized, etc. Took 3 months for the skin to grow over and it is still numb at the top after 3 years. Dumb dumb dumb - so at least you didn’t do that. Have made 15 of these little pouches. I use cotton on the outside and WRC inside. The decovil light always leaves creases so I will try fleece or woven fuse 2. Thanks for your tutorials. I always enjoy them. Blessings!
Good job on the pattern. I think your outfit is cute on you! And I love the cute sunglasses too. Now, if Tony didn't like the big ole sunglasses and wanted cute ones you might have to share.😄😄
Hi Jeannie, oh my so sorry for your incident, I witnessed it as you got cut, is like I felt your pain, as soon as it happened. Could I make this project out of cotton fabric? With fusible fleece iron on ? Could you have cut the pattern on your scan n cut? That has happened to me in the beginning of me learning how to cut with a rotary blade. They are really sharp. I learn so much watching your videos as I make sew along with you. You have such a great sweet, relaxed, calmness about you that is so awesome. Can't wait to start on this great project. I will be purchasing some items from your store front. Take care Jeanie. "Happy Sewing" is a Beautiful Thing
OMG 😱 I was so worried when you cut yourself, but thankful you are okay. Please 🙏🏽 be careful in the future. PS: I just love your watching your videos. Happy Sewing 🧵 stay safe and well. GL from Tampa
The htvront auto heat press is awesome, for someone that has 2 spinal fusions and Rheumatoid arthritis, it's a dream press. Love it, check It out, it's way cheaper in price than the cricut press, it auto presses with a push of a button and is made really well, so far no issues for me. 😊
Thank you again for filming the video! Love your Double Vision Case. Ouch, sorry you cut yourself! I like to put my straight edge on the fabric side instead of the paper side so it has more grip, but that looks like it wouldn't have saved you in this scenario.
Question on your sewing cabinet. Could the serger portion of the cabinet partially tuck under the extension table/leaf when/if you need it out of the way?
Hi Barbie love your shirt!🤗 Sorry you cut yourself the blade is so sharp. That was an interesting pattern. To bad there wasn’t a way not to use binding and sew a clean seem before you get to that part. I don’t know how you would do it just a thought…cute pattern.
I saw the comments before I watched your video and kept cringing😮😢 waiting for it. It’s my biggest fear when cutting fabric. Oops…….there it was. Ouch!
Ouchie...I cut my finger just like you a month ago...first time in 30 yrs. I was thinking of something else...I learned a painful lesson. Thank you for this video. Love your shirt. Where did you get it?
Sorry about your finger. 😢 I have never cut my finger with the rotary but I’ve cut my toe a couple of times. Neuropathy and carpal tunnel make for unstable hands. Isn’t it amazing the way designers think up patterns? Who would have thought that odd looking pattern piece would make up something nice like this? Lovely job. Now you have to have your hubby take you to dinner because you don’t want to get your finger wet. 😂
I am always amazed that so many people can cut a straight line with no guide or safety rules implemented, like turning the fabric to cut directly away. Even stating that you ahould cut AWAY from yourself, you still made a cut crosswise towards your hand. Rule #1, DON'T BLEED ON THE FABRIC!😊
I just appreciate your personality. Youre a good teacher
Oh thank you
OMG. I’ve done that myself and jumped in my chair when I saw you do it.🥵. Love your videos!
Yay! Thank you!

Thank you, I will
Do you have a sewing/Cutting room tour? I'd love to see it. I can use the inspiration to get organized.😀
Yes I do! This is from April, i'm doing a new one fairly soon! THanks th-cam.com/video/eA5e6Ohw00E/w-d-xo.htmlsi=5bC9dZesCamYuXXA

Ahhh... I looked at those just now... like them! we'll see how much longer this one lasts!
I just started making these and opted to use Velcro instead of snaps

You are an awesome designer! Keep it up and looking forward to the next pattern! Thank you
Jeannie is one of my absolute favorite TH-camrs... I thoroughly enjoy all your videos! ❤
Question on your sewing cabinet. Could the serger portion of the cabinet partially tuck under the extension table/leaf when/if you need it out of the way?
Well... great question... it does, but the flat part covers the underneath of the front.
I cut mine really bad one time I learned my lesson
Awful, isn't it!???
Hey Barbie!
Hi there Lisa!
I keep bandaids in my sewing room even if I'm quilting or bagmaking.
Don’t do what I do, DO AS I SAY 🤣🤣🤣

Same! It was almost a relief when it happened I was flinching so much.

Sorry to hear that It was at disney springs in orlando!!
Need to get you a cutting glove. You make me nervous when you cut! Those are like paper cuts in that they hurt for days!😢😢😢😢
Kathi.. I actually have some, need to find them and put them on my table! :)
