6:23 Bloodletter would be really terrifying in a real fight actually, imagine being an enemy you see your opponent stab himself but pulls it out and a bloody giant spiked flesh club randomly appears.
What makes it more terrifying is that they are stabbing themselves WITH A MACE, which is a blunt weapon and not a bladed one. That sort of display of raw physical strength to impale yourself *with a blunt weapon* and pull out a gigantic spiked club without a giant hole in your sternum would absolutely terrify any sane human.

The transform attack is particularly terrifying. No sane human would expect a bloodied mace to the face when the wielder turns around and stab himself in the stomach
The whole transformed moveset is pretty much pure raw power, like Amygdala Arm

Role-playing as Gerhman's student with the Burial blade and the hunter pistol never gets old, six years and i still play this game till this day, it still is one of the best games out ever :)

It's not dark magic that's emiting from the wheel.
But RAW BLIND HATRED from hundreds of souls that were slaughtered with this
wheel and now, they can only scream traped in it.
I was reading a story the other day talking about Logarius' wheel. The way the author described it was you have three specific areas that are hollowed out for handles and a shoulder rest.
In order to activate the wheel, you stick your left hand in this gauntlet like device that's up in the wheel and grab hold of a crank like a chainsaw.
The first crank activates it, and it only takes a small pull. If you want to buff it, you let the crank reset all the away, and allow these razor blades to fold down and grip your skin.
Quarter pull: a scratch that barely breaks skin
Half: the blades draw a little blood
3/4: the blades dig deeper and cause more bleeding
The fourth and final pull: the gauntlet complete bites into your arm to the point it's drawing from an artery. Extremely painful but not fatal you use it reasonably and drink your IRE.
To turn it off, you just close the wheel. The gauntlet lets go and resets.
Least insane Bloodborne weapon.
Normally a wheel being used would be comical, but the sound design sells you on the fact there’s more to that thing that meets the eye. Scary as hell soundin.
Also you can see a bunch of hair and flesh if you look closely in it

Bloodborne have if not one of the most interesting and original weapons i have ever seen. Like just look at the guns. It has basic stuff like a flintlock pistol but then you have a spear that turns into a rifle. Its so ridiculous yet so cool. I think the new game by arkane studios called Deathloop comes close. Like there is a lmg with two lewis gun mags. Yeah.
Or the dual pistols that lock into each other like the microwave gun from Black ops zombies and turns into a 4 barreled, quad burst rifle.

The trick weapon concept is by far the most creative thing in any game theres so much you can do with it
Ludwig’s theme starting when you got to the holy moonlight Greatsword was fantastic

Thank you. This game’s sound design is literally ear sex. I constantly switch the forms of the Hunter Axe because the sound of extending it and bringing it back to normal is so badass.

wow! if you slow it down to .25 you can see him whip the left blade of mercy behind his back and catch it at the tip of the right blade! Damn the weapons in this game were amazing!

I saw that as well. I studied all these weapon transformations to understand how they work, plus movesets.
Attack with a swing, pop the 2nd blade to your other hand, dual stab.

Simon's Bowblade is definitely one of my favorite weapons in video games for real. I always had the idea of a bowblade and Bloodborne so far is the only game that fulfills my fantasy of that.

Every animation just feels so fucking powerful
yeah they’re polished as fuck, from the animations, gameplay, and sound effects
It's not just the weapon creativity that makes them all so memorable, but the fact that ALL of them are quite viable in PVE and PVP. You can pick a build based around 1 weapon or 1-2 stats and not only will it be viable it'll likely clean house and be fun in the process, and that's a damn hard balance to achieve.
Honestly a bloodborne anime would be so dope. Kinda in the same style of Akami ga kill where every character has their assigned weapon and fighting style. And of course every character can die at any point.
I wish more anime would be like that but then again plot armor
If they made a Bloodborne anime i hope they can also show how tough the fights are and not making the Hunter OP asf since chapter 1 but that would be very hard
@@smoker5989 Exactly, like maybe have a hunter or group of hunters beating a couple of lesser enemies thinking that fight was real tough. Then have a boss come into the scene, and even boss music plays lol but basically this boss fucks their shit up and kills one or 2 hunters.
@@Droop-e Then shows a scene in the dream where they meet back up. Since they couldn't beat the, let's say Cleric Beast, that's when they gain insight and speak to the Doll for the first time.
If it ever gets an anime, it should be a prequel to the game.

Now we see what everyones favourite weapons are. For me it has to be the Burial Blade, Holy Moonlight Sword and the Hunter Axe.

Bloodborne weapons design includes a lot of creativity and crack. And I love it.
That gatling gun feels just a tad out of place compared to the rest lmao
But then again Old Hunter Djura used one on us, so I don't see why not though. We damn well deserve it and plus Powder Keg weapons are fun.
I think based on the clothes this is the 1850's the Gatling gun was invented in 1860 so about 10 years.
Better than Call of duty world war 2 with the lazer sights on guns 70(?) years before they were invented thing.
Nah, it perfectly fits the theme. The gunmen enemies use breechloading weapons and Djura claps your punk ass with one, so why not?

Just a masterpiece, the weapons in BB are so criative and cool because its difference tools of killing beasts or any other terrifying thing, some of them pretty unique with fun mechanics and all with second forms with different attacks.
More than fair to a hunter in a long nightmare.
I have never played this game. But I fell in love at first sight with it because of those trick weapons. Almost all of them are so illogical, but I don't care because they are so freaking cool LOL.
If you have a PS4 you need to play it ASAP. I bought a PS4 solely for Bloodborne and God of War 2018, two of the best PS exclusives ever imo.
I think from a mechanical, and design perspective, the Reiterpallasch has to be my favorite. It's so simple. The lever on the side moves the blade down, and pulls the gun forward in one motion. I think it's a very elegant, and interesting weapon, and I wish I could slow the animation down to really appreciate it.
An interesting wee note is that the trick weapons of the Healing Church - Ludwig's Holy Blade and the Kirkhammer - also have unique attacks from their switch attack. As soon as the white flash appears, use either attack button to perform a finisher after the switch.
From what I know of, none of the other trick weapons seemed to have one - at least, none of the ones from the Hunter's Workshop did - so I wonder why only they got moves like that?

Bloodborne had the most interesting weapons of any action game to come out in recent years.
Probably the only FromSoft game where the Bow is one of the best weapons in both PVE and PVP

6:30 I love the Bloodletter's transform attack so much, like a guy takes a swing at you with some crude pointy mace that looks weird, spins around and before you even process wtf is about to happen, he stabs himself with a MACE with sharp pointy bits at the top and suddenly a meaty blood cactus erects from their back, domes the guy next to you, and suddenly this mf rips the entire thing out their gut, spins around and sent my head on a homerun with the final thing you see is the absolute nightmare of a weapon the mf is slaughtering everyone else with
Have I played this game for over 500 hours...yes. Have I tried every weapon in the game at least once... Yes. Am I still gonna watch this video regarding animations I've seen countless times. FUCK YES.

I love how these range from an axe that gets longer to just an actual goddman wagon wheel.

To this day, for 6 years of bloodborne I still use the hunter axe and beasthunter saif, and Evelyn. That's all I ever use. You can count blade of mercy for me but I only use that against hunter AI's to stun lock them..... and simon's bowblade to cheat Micolash
