Another fun video; it is always fun to see what different accessories people use regularly. I admit I am tempted to get one of the official z mount hot shoe metal covers. I also really like how Nikon is good about selling official hit shoe covers, eye pieces, etc. I really like knowing I can always get an official replacement. I know functionally any would do, but I like that Nikon supports itS products in that way. Also, it's always great to learn more photography history from your channel!
Excellent stuff as always, thank you. I tend to like slow tempo film channels, but you have instantly became one of my favourites. I got the 40mm just before the SE version was announced. So I DIY'ed my 40mm to the SE look. I used thin double-sided tape, ziptie painted with silver Tamiya for the mounting grip, got a $5 rubber focus grip from eBay, and I even added the aperture coupling rabbit ears which I salvaged from a throwaway lens. For the diamond knurling on the "aperture ring", I salvaged the rubber focus grip from the same throwaway lens - it had just the exact same pattern and actually blends well with the lens body. I did the same for the 50mm 1.8, just without the rabbit ears. It's almost always form AND function for me.
Thanks for another video! For adapting lenses, really loving the Techart TZM-02 AF adapter on my ZF. A little on the pricey side but opens up a lot of options for some of my manual focus lenses and while not perfect, I've been able to catch some shots I would have missed previously and even getting some macro use out of it. Stacking a Nikon F to Leica M adapter on it at the moment but will probably add a m42 to L/M adapter sometime soon.
