I like getting the memories on Facebook as a surprise every year. Others like to see them to see them to see if they can visit. I admire how you are not afraid to visit a new country, especially so young.
Thanks for sharing. I am researching for my trip this year to 🇰🇷 it is very easy to pick up a language learning app like lingodeer and spend a few minutes a day learning some words. I also got a Korean recipe book to learn about the foods before I go. For documenting I always bring a travel journal so I can stick in photos and write about what I did and how I felt.
It’s hard to go to multiple areas in one country when there are so many places! But I agree you want to travel for depth, understanding a culture, history, politics and people and authentic experiences. Planning takes time and focus and I don’t always have the patience when traveling full time. Research is much better with detailed blogs not quick TikTok’s. Luxury travel - I’ve had that experience - now it’s about balance and authentic experiences. US brand hotels are not authentic in foreign locations IMO. Thanks for the discussion!
Agreed! So many good places to see 🌎 I love how fast I can pick through a ton of ideas on TikTok, we did a long New York weekend in December to catch all the holiday decorations, and it ended up being a great resource to see what’s available and pick out the must sees.
Yeah losing memories hurt. Thanks for the conversation. I love being able to treat myself time to time to a luxury travel moment x

You are so welcome 🙏🏾
Losing photos HURTS! I lost all photos from before 2009 😞 Great tips. I can tell there’s growth y’all have had in traveling.
It is devastating!

I love the idea of keeping a travel journal with physical photos. What a great way to capture moments that are just for you 💕
