He fought with the CDC administration to stay on an active tier for like 4 years while he was on freeze facing life and fighting his case. Being on freeze on an active tier means any day the decision could come down from NF leadership telling someone on that tier to wack him. CDC knew he could be hit at anytime and wanted to move him to the SNY side for his safety for years but he refused. And one day years into him fighting his case the order came down and they tried to spear him. It was at that point he dropped out. He was willing to do life for the NF but when it was clear he'd be doing life and on the NFs greenlight list that's when he tapped out.
