Personally I think this is a superb demonstration of confident artistry by courageous humans working their socks off to continue to be active and expressive musicians and people rather than sit around complaining during a difficult and vulnerable period of recent world history. I love it - thank you, brave colleagues!
This is what Juice have done to our music. We’ve gone from Wagner and Brahms to this pretentious trash. Maybe western civilization doesn’t deserve to survive if this is what we now pawn off as music.
Yes, this was... um... I just can't listen to it as a musician myself. I actually made a parody of these lockdown commissions if you care to take a look at it on my channel. It's utter bollocks and I just made it up on the spot to point out how ridiculous the whole idea is. th-cam.com/video/f63fuM-3rmA/w-d-xo.html
Add Webern, Bartok, Messiaen and Penderecki to the list. If you don't like it, fine. Then it's not your style. Wouldn't call it a call to end mankind. Chill, daddy-o.
I love how creative these lockdown commissions have gotten. Listening to this one was like an eerie but beautiful dream

Love these (as an enthusiastic but not serious amateur violist). # 10 on the way?

People felt the same of Stravinsky, Miles, and countless other musical greats.
