Hitting water at a high rate of speed is like hitting concrete, the amount of surface tension water has...at 200mph that car and you would be in thousands of pieces.

The fact that all the cars seem to be topping out at around 100 despite their entry speed makes me think you may have discovered a new type of constant, like a water drag coefficient.
It's just a simple power in be drag which the water provides at same separating distance means yeah you'll reach a speed that will be steady, nothing special

Is this the reason why some real-life crash barriers are filled with water? The liquid's still encased in a plastic-ish housing, but it's more effective at stopping vehicles than air while not being an absolute hard surface like concrete.

Funny thing is, water is a very hard substance. You don't just think about it as you are drinking it and stuff.

What you mean is that water is incompressible like solids, which is why when you push it at a very high speed, since it doesn't have time to move away that quickly and the fact that it doesn't compress, it acts essentially like a solid. Don't jump into water from height lol, there is a risk of injury even if the water is deep enough

Where do you get your car mods from? The website I go to has a hell of a lot of really bad mods with horrible crash physics. Most of them also dont have unique sounds (Lamborghini and Rx7 for ex.)

They already do this, in a way, with those barrels of water at exits on some roads. Hitting them is less dangerous than standard barriers etc.

Just have the auto body repair shops and gas stations pay for the water barriers with all their extra profits from damage and insane gas usage (throttle has to be wide open to go 60mph). Done and done.
somewhat ironically, lightweight plastic barriers filled with water are already used in a variety of road safety conditions, accomplishing almost exactly what we see in this video without having to break the laws of real-world physics; it does still damage cars some, but it's certainly a pleasant alternative when compared to going head-first into a block of solid concrete!

The funny thing is I've made a etk with alot of realistic mods and I have made it go 550mph before the tires explode haven't found a mod that has stronger tired at those speeds

With these barriers being infinitely thin, it seems, I guess the idea is that surface tension is at play in this simulation but not fluid drag at all.

watching cars go through multiple barriers on the highway was like watching someone get punched in the face repeatedly. also, i know its just a game but, its also beamng so i honestly expected the engines to shut off after the 4th-ish wall honestly
Water has 12 times the resistance of air. Therefore the 310 mph entry ( it's not 300 mph entry btw) turned in 272-274 mph after the first barrier 12 percent less than 310 is 272. I'm no genius pls comment where I'm wrong
