Beautiful home! I have always loved this home back in 1970's..Always wondered what the inside looked like and now I do!

    Property is breathtaking and historical.
A very rare property indeed, and the taxes
paid yearly make it a rare gem and a one
of a kind property to behold.

Back in the 1970's I was a hotshot runner (I ran in the NYC Marathon in 78') I liked to jog down Colonial Rd. or Narrows to the fort (Ft. Hamilton HS). It had an outdoor track and I'd do laps. I always enjoyed running past this house. Word in those days was this house had a revolving floor in the garage. I never got to see behind the gate for all those years. Bay Ridge was the place to live in Brooklyn in the 60's/ 70's and 80's. Thanks for the swell photos. Eleven million huh, wonder what it cost in 1975??

Hi Marty, it still does have that revolving floor in the garage. Do you know Joe Leahy (runner)?

@@thereisnycteam, not sure. I lived on 73rd street from 1974 till 1989 (started hanging out there in the mid 60's) and moving away from there. Where did Joe live??? Most of my friends were stoners and not runners. I did both. I knew a chick from around 69th street that I jogged with on occasion. Can't recall her name though. After a few laps on the track and the half mile jog back to my place that hill on 73rd street was murder walking up. I'd cheat sometimes and walk up the stairs on 74th street back to Ridge Blvd. Wasn't there a convent or something near the Gingerbread house?? I'm just an old man now and a bit forgetful.

@@martyjewell5683 Ahhh... I see. Joe Leahy ran a running club in Brooklyn for many years. The Shamrocks AC. He ran quite a few marathons back then also. He's 85 today, not running but still going strong.

@@thereisnycteam, I wasn't into running clubs. I ran alone mostly. Lived in Bay Ridge in the 1970's/80's on 3rd ave. My running days are done too. Can't even run for a freakin' bus. But I was a cool, twenty seven year old dude in 1978. I ran about seven miles, usually three to four times a week down to and around Ft Hamilton HS track. Frequently ran past the Gingerbread House on Narrows. I was hot stuff in those days, now just a seventy year old cripple. In 1978 NYC was begging people to run in the marathon. Now you gotta win a freakin' lottery to run. Man, did I ever love livin' in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn in the 1970's. It was swell. I will google the Shamrocks AC, you got me curious. Soooooo, you a Bay Ridger???

Hey bakishamil, the city schools in that area were pretty good when I lived there in the 60's/70's and 80's. Heck if ya had a daughter and were rich, the kid could go to Fontbonne Hall on Shore Road. In 75' I had a studio apartment on 3rd ave. in Bay Ridge and paid $90/month gas and electric included. Not no more my friend!

@@russiansquare unfortunately, in the late 1960's I attended John Jay HS as I lived in crappy old Bush Terminal. Moving to Bay Ridge was like a breath of fresh air.

I wish I could afford that place. Oh and btw, that was the worst drone footage I've ever seen.
