    I had this very same problem too. Anything over 5600 mhz with 4 sticks starts to become unstable. If you want to run over 6000 mhz, 2 sticks is mandatory

    i9s don't support quad channel; all consumer CPU platforms have dual channel controllers.
    That said, you should _never_ run more than two sticks of ram in a PC with a dual-channel memory controller. Especially considering how high the capacities are on DDR5 modules, there's literally no reason to. Anyone who needs more than 64GB of RAM is probably doing some specialized stuff and should be on HEDT.
    Motherboard manufacturers should just stop putting four DIMM slots on; all it does is dupe people who are trying to build "the most baller PC" into handicapping their memory speeds in exchange for a bunch of extra capacity they'll _never use._

      There is no such thing as too much ram. The more you can cache the faster it goes. When the OS sees you have a 1998 hard drive in your ram space it starts guessing what files you may want and starts putting it there. It is glorious when a cache hits on a monster game and it loads in a third of a second.

    • @TheDude50447
      @TheDude50447 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Izzy-vz6iu Im not sure if I understand you correctly. But yes what processor you use matters for the ram in many ways. Regular desktop hardware no matter which manufacturer only supports dual channel. Which means you get a significant performance boost by going from 1 to 2 sticks of ram and putting it in the right slots if you got 4 dimm slots. Going from 2 sticks to 4 also does something by doubling the memory ranks which was for example for Ryzen 3000 and 5000 a good way to improve your performance. Other cpus dont really care that much about ranks.
      Another factor is the memory controller which used to be on the northbridge but has been integrated into the cpu several years back. The quality of that memory controller dictates how fast you can operate your ram. The early ryzen chips were notorious for their bad memory controllers.

    Why would you use 4 sticks? I always thought 2 was the standard unless you're really pushing the hardware at something else

    Bro start using a rubber glove or a pair of gloves which doesn't produce static electricity from your hand , that might save some more parts. Obviously I know this comment doesn't make sense with the problem out there🤏

    Running an MSI Pro Z790 MB. Just will not operate correctly with 4 sticks DDR5 w/ 64gb RAM. I've given up trying, just running 2 sticks.

    I’ve been running 4 sticks of DDR5 for a year now. Haven’t had a single issue until 3 weeks ago. I keep getting the blue screen of death with different codes. I’m going to try 2 sticks of 64GB and see how that goes. That’s nuts that it would make a difference, but I can see it.

  • @uatlagh

    Other people have said this but that’s not quad channel it’s just 4 sticks spread across 2 channels

    Your mother board specific website tells you the specs of the MB itll say
    1DPC 1R means 2 sticks of 16gb then whatever the mb can handle
    1DPC 2R means 2 stick of 32gb ram
    2DPC 1R means 4 sticks of 16gb
    2DPC 2R means 4 sticks of 32gb
    Itlls say all that under its specs page
    Maybe round down like 200 mhz on the recommended for each tho

    If that was my customer I'd max out the ram, pretty shitty just replacing the difference, make it worth his while why he should recommend you. If he had lets say 4x4gb and you gave him 2x8gb you should have given him 4x8gb as a god will.

    VIDEO ANALYSIS
    ==============
    Quad channel memory only exists on motherboards supporting 8 or more RAM sticks.
    GamerTechToronto's videos and stories are known to be staged.
    Upon further examination of the CS:GO crash, it is seen that Alt + F4 was pressed on the keyboard, forcefully quitting the program.
    He said that "DDR5 doesn't like quad channel mode, especially when XMP is enabled". In the very next sentence, he enables XMP, after which Windows immediately gets him a blue screen of death. This is also the only blue screen he detected, which is odd because the "customer" stated that blue screens happened often.
    The man in the video never tried diagnosing the RAM sticks individually, so one of the sticks could have been faulty.
    The cause may also be the memory controller on the CPU, but it is unlikely since dual-channel works fine.
    The "We'll restart for you" message should disappear almost the very instant it's shown if the blue screen really was instant, due to the computer's beefiness, yet it somehow doesn't, which is odd.
    The PC shown in the video has never been sold by GamerTechToronto, nor was it a custom build since that was not mentioned in the video. What was mentioned was "They got a nice top-of-the-line [...]", which indicates that the build wasn't custom, or else it would've been "They got a nice, custom, top-of-the-line PC with [...]", which was not said in the video.
    === CONCLUSION ===
    The video is most likely fake, due to the many anomalies detected.

    Didn't really fix the issue did you try another set of ram in dual channel? Maybe it's a mother board ram slot problem
