  • Another polyphony style demo of the Vermona PERfourMER MKII. Recored raw into Apple Logic. No processing. Tried to sync video to recording as best as i could. Not so interesting melody but some tweaks that can be done in poly mode. I didn't get to crazy but explored some possibilities. Only scratched the surface though...

    Man... This sound... Thanks for making music with the Vermona... Lots of demo are really too noisy and do not show the amazing melodic potential of it. It's beautiful in any case. The chord progression is pretty straight forward but so enriched with this crazy panel of sounds coming out of the Vermona. Well done and very inspiring track!

      Thank you for viewing and thanks for your wonderful comments. I don't usually do demo videos but I did not see many out there for this unit. I am glad that you enjoyed it :) Cheers

      My pleasure. I hope you'll turn this melody and the other one for irst Vermona Demo into actual songs. They deserve it. Cheers

    Damnit, I know this synth isn't super practical for live playing in a band context where pulling up presets is pretty necessary.. But my god does it sound good.

    @Evan J Good Question. There are two Polyphonic modes. One where the unit will store the order of all simultaneously held notes. With a note being released, this voice will be used for another voice that is still active and held. The second mode does not store the held notes. The oldest note is released for the new note.
    There are 2 duo phonic modes that work in the same fashion with the exception that there are two voices triggered at once. Voices 1 and 2 are linked. and 3 and 4 are linked.
    Hope this helps!

    can someone squeeze nice bass lines out of the sine wave that don't sound too dark/dull ?

    Question for the triggering modes in polyphonic-- It seems the triggering is on "reset" mode, meaning, each VCO is assigned to the same note each time it's triggered. If you do straight chords like this where all notes are pressed at once, is there poly function where the VCOs will keep rotating? I believe this is similar to the way the circuity works in a CS-80 and what's known as "Continuous" mode on the Oberheim 8-Voice? Thanks!

    Great demo! I don't know how many times i've watched it! Just one question... Do you know if there's any way to make all four oscillators sync with one envelope? When you play in polyphony-mode, i think i would find that feature quite useful if you're live performing! Thanks!

      That feature would be very useful however it is not available. Unfortunately in this case, each voice has its own envelop which controls both AMP and FILTER

    Brill! Gets a bit deadmau5y in places doesn't it?

    • @FelixKesslerGoodSoundForYou
      @FelixKesslerGoodSoundForYou 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it does. cause the deadmaus synth sound is just sawtooth and filter witch chords

    I had a question about the Vermona you could maybe help me with: is it possible to play actual chords on the Vermona via a MIDI key board for example or a chord sequence from a daw? Or is it restricted to note by note sequences? Thanks in advance for your input :-)

      @ArchieMusicCanada  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      All my demos were driven by Logic with MIDI recorded with MIDI keyboard into Logic. My Axiom Pro can run directly into the PERfourMER as well. There are some good sequences built into the unit for playing around with. (And making sure you have it patched in correctly and have sound coming from it.) There are some demos of these sequences on TH-cam. Now keep in mind that running the PERfourMER with the MIDI chords, its like playing 4 mono synths. You have a few different play modes to change style and how the voices react when you add the 5th midi note into it and whether it will release one of the original 4 or not. Cheers
