Good evening sweet pea, I have made by file journal and I am so happy with it. Having fun now with all the pockets. I am wondering how did you make the flip pockets using 2 panels? I am completely stuck on how you did it. The kit is gorgeous, I will be making another straight after this one. I know once my daughter sees it she will be can I have this one. lol xx❤❤
Oh I am so happy you love it. So what I did is first glue two side panels together leaving an opening for a pocket. Then I just attached some material to one side and glued to the page and to the panel . I hope that makes sense, lol Please let me know if it did not.
@@SweetPeaCuriosities That makes perfect sense thank you. I have been up since 4am working on it. There is so many pockets and ephemera I will only have to print out the file folders 2 sides for the second one. I have been using red cotton on my sewing machine and it pops out lovely. Gorgeous papers. Do you plan on making a 2nd Christmas file folder kit? ❤❤❤
Thank you so much! I use a photomatte paper which is 140lb. It's by printworks and you can get this on Amazon. I do have a Tutorial for the binding process. It's a 3 part series and #2 has the binding. If you search for towards the end of my videos, you should be able to find it.
Thank you so much for the question. With these christmas ones I do give as gifts with other things. But to answer your question, yes you can write in them, add other items like photos and more. But really they are just fun to create.🥰
@@SweetPeaCuriosities oh ok they are beautiful I just be antes to know cause I’ve got some beautiful antique paper and I wasn’t sure what to do with it now I do…thank you so much for the idea
@@lorenafurtado21 It is kind of funny to me that so many people ask me, "What do you do with it." What do you do with your art? Lay it out, share it with friends, enter it in contests, write, poems or stories or a diary in it, write a love letter to a family member or friend into it and as they pull out the tags they can find out something else that is wonderful about themselves, add pictures to it, draw, paint, doodle, Turn it into a Christmas recipe journal, Get a special pen and copy out your favorite poems and stories of winter and Christmas into it to share with visitors during Christmas, and challenge yourself to come up with lots of different things to do with it. The joy of making a beautiful journal is enough. Anything that brings you joy deserves a small place in your home.
