I'm so sorry about your cancer diagnosis. Too many young and fit people are getting horrific cancer diagnosis. This has also hit my family. My best wishes to you and your healing. 🤗♥
I put a roll through my Nikon L35af shot it at 100 at fisherman's warf on my SF trip this past month, and absolutely loved it. Some super fun and colorful shots. It's just a fun film to shoot.
This is actually how i shot my first roll of phoenix and it was amazing. I shot my 2nd roll on my Leica MP and got some mixed results from trying to figure out how to expose that film. A decent point and shoot exposed it perfectly.
Your samples of the new Phoenix look great! Even your donation from a random, spurious Milwaukeean soul. Those pics were shot at box speed, I take it? Hope you're out & about, enjoying the nice weather. Regards!!
I actually pulled Phoenix 1 stop and developed it in ECN-2 developer I have And it have the amazing colors and halation, without the insane contrast and grain this way! I think it looks awesome when developed like this
but what about my images from the Ricoh R1s ... that's a point and shoot 😭😭😭😭😭 you dont even love me anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@ThePhotoDept I worked with colour film, both neg and pos, for 35 years before turning to digital. It then took many years to learn how to make digital look like film, and it was surprising what I learnt along the way. Now, I have just started work with film again. I have my reasons … one thing I will say is we don’t really need accurate colour film stocks, digital does all that supremely well. No, what we need is - interesting - emulsions that are inspiring to work with. I think Phoenix is a step in the right direction, and Ilford should be applauded for what they are doing.
Challenging everyone to watch Chris's videos to boost his income and help him in his time of need!

I have my first roll of Phoenix in my Olympus Stylus right now haha! Can't wait to finish it up.
Yes!!!
After all the first impressions, I'm not hopeful I'll like it. But I'm still eager to try it ! Your shot of the chair back with hung shirt was 🔥🔥🔥
Oh yeah I was pleasantly surprised with how nice it looked indoors with natural light.
Nice shots
i shot my first (and so far only) roll of phoenix in a point and shoot too!! got one of my favorite photos i've ever taken
That’s awesome! Which camera?
@@ThePhotoDeptit was a fuji dl-200. i'm planning to shoot my other roll in a ricoh gr1v so i can try it at 100 iso

If a point and shoot costs more than a Nikon F2 than it doesn’t count/i forgot
@@ThePhotoDept is a Nikon F2 less than $120? 🥰😝
If you steal it 👀
I don’t see film, any film, having flaws. Film has attributes, and if you don’t like them, use another kind of film. Phoenix looks really nice to me.
Agreed! Well, maybe an exception here and there…

@williamcurwen7428 yes absolutely, I completely agree, and I’m so excited for what this means for ilford and film in general.
