    Thank you so much for posting an informative video... can u please post another video by taking an example of any material and then selection of screw dimensions (OD of the screw, ID of Screw, Pitch) by material classifications, then find out Volumetric capacity "V" and tonnes capacity "Q".

    Hi, thanks for the video. Do you know how to calculate the thickness of the Screw?

      Thickness of the screw is taken from Standardized Handbooks. Alternatively you can use this formula core_diameter = Nominal Diameter-Pitch [dc = d-p]

    I had a question, how would i know whether to use short pitch, standard pitch or full pitch?
    I am actually making a screw conveyor, the material is 2000 kg/m3, capacity 5 tonne/hr, using standard cema formulas i am getting 58.76 rpm.

    Sir can you do the numericals based on screw conveyors like tonnage capacity and all or how to use max rpm and min rpm value in n value while finding Q

    Hello please how do i i calculate the torque of the screw conveyor

      Determine Power (P): This can be calculated based on the material being conveyed, the length of the conveyor, the angle of incline, and the friction factors. Manufacturers often provide power requirement data.
      Measure Diameter (D): Measure the diameter of the screw.
      Find Rotational Speed (N): Identify the rotational speed of the screw in revolutions per minute (rpm).
      Calculate Torque: Substitute the values into the formula to find the torque.
      T= (P x D)/ (2 x pi x N)
      where:
      T = Torque (Nm)
      P = Power required to drive the conveyor (W)
      D= Diameter of the screw (m)
      N = Rotational speed (rpm)

    The power requirement for screw feeder at no load is (dia*length) /20 ... Could you please tell me how this value '20' has arrived ?

      It's a recommended standardized formula. Ref : IS:5563-1985, Specification for Screw Conveyors for Industrial Use, BIS.

    Hi if I want to calculate power by calculating torque first in that case how can I get it?

    • @soumyodeepmukherjee3604
      @soumyodeepmukherjee3604  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Power (kW) = Torque (N.m) x Speed (RPM) / 9.5488
