  • Ex-Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has dedicated his victory as an independent to the people of his constituency, as he enjoyed sweet success over his former party.
He successfully retained his long-held seat of Islington North in London, beating his Labour rival by more than 7,000 votes.
In his victory speech, he claimed his campaign had shown “what kinder, gentler and more sensible, more inclusive politics, can bring about”.

Forty million adults in the UK. Nine million voted Labour,
and it's a landslide win of unprecedented, near biblical proportions?
    A) Labour voting turnout yesterday : nine million people.
    B) Jeremy Corbyn turnout 2017 : twelve million, eight hundred thousand.

Lived in Islington North for 36 years and have never voted for Corbyn but did this time around. I must the say that his campaigners were very determined but also charming and throughly decent people. Corbyn has done a lot for the people in his ward over the decades and this is reflected in the support he deservedly has here.

One in the eye for Starmer's corporate-funded Labour party. This is the guy who as Labour leader and excited the people to the oint he had over 3 million more peole vote for him than Starmer and 40% vote share as compared to Starmers 33%.
All while the majority of his MPs done all they could to destroy him and their own chances of being in Government yet Jeremy let it be accepting the broad church must be repected.
Starmer on the other hand expelled even the quietest dissenting voice in a purge Stalinesque in its hypocrisy.
The result is Labour may have a 170 seat majority but it remains clear they have lost 25% of their voters with their racist, sadistic, disregard for their membership, their lack of morality, pandering to the worst of rtght wing press and narratives and only for a facile victory gained on the back of discarding Starmers leadership manifesto to appease middle England and get Murdoch onside.
Starmer lacks morality, ideas, and competence in front of any camera and his compared to the last Labour victory makes little appeal nor offers any hope of any change.
When Shadow Cabinet members lose their seat in a landslide victory it says all that need be said.

Labour polled more votes under Jeremy Corbyn (both in 2017 - 12million plus, and in 2019 - 10 million plus) than under Starmer (9 million odd) - and this was in the face of brutal treatment by the media, by the right in Labour (who worked to sabotage him from within), and without the benefit of tactical voting or a hugely unpopular incumbent government. So in terms of votes, it's not a landslide at all.

Parliament needs folks like Jeremy Corbyn, but his very lack of ruthlessness in crushing unprincipled enemies makes it impossible for him to deal with the yobboes of the media, the billionaires who expect to order politicians about and the strident Jewish lobby that interfere in UK politics far more than anyone else does.

Corbyn is essentially about community politics. He is a labour socialist in the classical mould. As such he is committed to democracy, parliament, and genuine collective decision making. Communism varies, but tends to be led by an elite, and a Party-elite make the decisions for the collective. Russia, under the Czars, the Soviets, Putin: tends to war and Imperialism; where Stalin and Stalinism well represents that distinctive Russian characteristic.
It could be argued that Labour under Starmer, leans into a Stalinist-lite approach to things. JC on the other hand leans heavily into a socialist investment in peace, has done all his life. When Kinnock claimed that all supporters of Corbyn were Trotskyites, he rather let slip that the Labour Party that eventually expelled Corbyn, by contrast favours some degree of Stalinist-lite measures.
As for JC as a hypocrite. That seems grossly unfair, and even Kinnock would disagree with you. It is arguable that JC won as an independent in Islington North, precisely because the constituents of that borough see that the man is genuine through and through. He talks the talk of community politics, and he walks the walk of community politics. He embodies the politics he speaks to.

Good luck with that, the country is more divided now than it’s ever been, thanks to globalist elites.

Because even NOW the ministry of propaganda for the establishment party (AKA the mainstream media) can't resist attacking the man who put the fear of God into them, I saw another propaganda channel, Sky news or the BBC (they are all the same) listing some of the losses last night, their thumbnail had the names of several EX Tory MPs AND Mr Corbyn. who actually WON! but such is the obvious and blatant propaganda from our 'opinion suppliers' then they just can't help themselves, listing him alongside a bunch or Blue Tory *EX MPs*
makes the 'not so subtle' inference that he lost his seat. instead of issuing a hard and firm slap to the Starmites.
*MEET THE NEW BOSS SAME AS THE OLD BOSS*

PMs have to deal with Civil Servants who think they should run the country unelected. They have to deal with corrupt Doctor lobbies, who use the politics of the gutter to get their way. They have to deal with teachers and universities who expect more and more for less and less. They have to deal with the media yobboes who are never put under the spotlight themselves. They have to deal with police forces with masonic lodges and corruption woven into their fabric. And that's before they have to deal with the City of London, rapacious American imperialists, Israeli Zionists, EU yobboes, the French President, Polish chancers, Ukrainian criminals, Russian mafiosi. And then they actually have to oversee policy development, Cabinet schemers, putsches on the back benches and a lot more besides.
Corbyn could not afford to stay nice for long if he actually had to deal with that bunch of yobboes.....

that's true but I think even though the won the election it wasn't cos people voted Labour. It's because people didn't vote Tory. I think Starmer got less votes than JC did in the last election. Now it's time to put the pressure on & get rid of Starmer & his cronies.

@@bozzhalliday5896 Agreed, once the real right-wingers (Blue Tories & Reform) put their ducks in a row, the next general election is for Starmers to lose. If he thinks supporting genocide and gutting public services, including the coup de grace to the NHS is going to win voters then they are delusional.
