People need to start looking at the ingredient list and the company claims instead of blindly believing tiktokers and skincare influencers. "Light-weight essence which absorbs into the skin fast to give skin a natural glow from the inside. This essence is created from nutritious, low-stimulation filtered snail mucin to keep your skin moisturized and illuminated all day." This is the exact claim from the company. It also states that it "targets" dark spots, but that it needs to be used along with other products. I think a little critical thinking is in order for this one. I use this serum along with products like retinol and glycolic acid and it's helped so much to counteract the sensitivity and dryness they can cause so including it into a hyperpigmentation routine is great, but anyone who knows skincare will look at the ingredient list and know there are no actives that target hyperpigmentation.
Completely agree with you. Companies will always advertise their products well. And using just one product is not going to magically help the skin all of a sudden unless it's something potent. Rather than believing an off hand review of someone online, targeting your own skin concerns and understanding ingredients will save me more money, time and my own skin.

Same, I got the cream and serum after I had the hydrating pair (blue label not sure what it was) and I found the snail one not hydrating enough for my skin. Not a bad product, just not for everyone.
Because it’s not a serum… it’s an essence. It’s to keep the skin hydrated and help with pore clog. I’ve NEVER seen it being promoted as helping with wrinkles bc it’s not what the product is for….
@@Gail_the_SnailI mean, the comment literally mentioned getting better *hydration* from other products. Also, I didn't notice anything different about my pores after using the whole bottle.
Reminder for my loves in the comments: If you’re allergic to dust mites and maybe even shellfish…stay away from snail mucin! I learned the hard way! There’s a much higher chance of having an adverse reaction to snail mucin if you have those allergies.
Maybe instead of trusting what tiktokers say you should actually read the product description and what it says on the packaging. The snail mucin is meant to hold hydration in and that has all sorts of benefits. But none of them have to do with healing dark spots, and the brand has never claimed it did that.
She did start the video by saying, "just because everyone says something doesn't make it true." So it sounds like she agrees with you. I don't think she was trying to insult the product or anything, just make a point so other people know not to make the same mistake she did trusting what influences said without looking further into it. Also, even if a product doesn't outright claim it fades dark spots, if tons of people online are saying that it did for them and are hyping it up like crazy, then it makes sense that you might not realize that the brand never actually made any claims about dark spots.
I loooove thr snail mucin. It really helps me loxk in moisture, it feels amazing on my skin, its light so it works well under makeup, it does pill with other products. I especially loce it after retinol to really get thr full effect of the retinol. A little goes a long way so it will last forever. Csnt say enough good things about it
I love the snail mucin, but yeah the whole “it fades dark spots” thing isn’t true. However, I really do love the hydration it gives and it has really helped with my dry patches. If it’s not for you that’s fine but it’s still a great product
Just because a skincare product didn’t do something for your skin doesn’t mean it won’t work for someone else. Skincare effectiveness varies from person to person.
Exactly right, Shana. I figure any product might work for 80% of people and be a miserable failure for 20%. So much of depends in the climate/humidity you live in- and the season. I have summer products and winter products that behave terribly if they are interchanged.
I love that elf hydrating camo concealer. Never found it to smell toxic, it's rather neutral and in my opinion far better than the overly perfumed makeup products.
That's for you. The nuance is that skin conditions are very diverse. Like you said just because everyone says it doesn't mean it's true for you but it also doesn't mean it isn't true for most people. Everything you recommend or don't recommend doesn't mean everyone would benefit from it.
Cant go wrong with givency prism libre powder. Its expensive but so, so good. You hardly have to use any so it will last a long time. Best luxury product I own.
Pls try their blush it’s so insanely good. I haven’t seen anyone talk about it but all the shades are so flattering, light and unique. I own two but I need the whole line lmao Lasts long too, blends so nicely, literally the best blush ever!
Try using the maybelline as a finishing powder after setting the face with another powder! Just lightly dusting it over makeup really airbrushes the skin and gives an ethereal look.
Personally, Snail Mucin was incredible for me. I have acne prone skin and had scars on the side of my face that I've been trying to get rid of for years. Now a lot of the marks are gone or have significantly faded away, while also leaving my skin not feeling dry. It makes my skin glow, and I kind of do reccomend the cream version instead of the spray.
Omg! I totally agree with the fit me powder and the second elf concealer. I used them for so long because I listen to influencers and didn’t know much about make up as I don’t use much of it. But now that I tried more expensive products is a total game changer! There must be good cheap products out there but so far every single expensive product i have used has been so much better than all the cheap garbage I used for 10 years thanks to influencers.
Dude.. no really, DOOD…. You had me at “read labels” of the clothes you buy… but when you call out products like this, I swear I didn’t know I could relate and love a stranger so much. THANK YOU in the most friendliest way, you’re awesome!!!

I've tried most of these and really thought there's something wrong with me for not liking these viral products, I mean, some are ok, but really not a miracle like the internet makes them appear. Thank you for the video
I was very disappointed with the Leniege too. My Himalaya lip butter in India which costs $2 for 10g, works sooo much better!! N I have desert dry lips! I hated the Maybelline fit me as well!
LANEIGE is great, but it’s very expensive. I replace it with the Vaseline coconut 🥥 tiny little container. It’s not a dupe, but it does a great hydration for way cheaper.
People expect way too much from their skin care products these days. The snail mucin works great in hydrating the skin and it does help with long time hydration over time. But it’s not magic in a bottle it won’t help with dark spots like vitamin c and retinol, most if not all the alternatives won’t do that.
I love the cosrx snail mucin as a hydrating serum - it’s other ingredients are an added bonus! As for changing the skin (ie. fading dark spots, smoothing fine lines, etc.), you need to give skincare time to work. For example - when using a retinol, it can take months before you actually see results but it’s an ingredient is fully backed by science as being effective.
Maybe it’s the placebo effect, but I’ve been struggling with hyperpigmentation spots from old acne and i SWEAR since I started the snail mucin essence and cleanser they have gotten miles better. I also just started using vitamin c toner pads so thats def helping now too, but don’t write snail mucin off especially for my dry skin girlies out there!
I agree with everything you said…except about the CosRx snail mucin. That stuff definitely does fade dark spots, smooths wrinkles, and definitely hydrates. I will never be without it and I know several people who agree
If youre usonf elf, use the coconut mist setting spray!! Oil makes whatever coverage i use kn my face, but the setrong spray makes it last besutifully!! Its a game changer!
Fun fact, if you have an allergy to mold you will have allergic reaction to anything with snail mucin in it! My dumb ass took applying the serum 3 times before I realized that's why I was breaking out in hives 😅😂

I have so much appreciation for you now only giving the product a fair try and an honest view, but also for sharing dupes and/or better products. I love watching your videos! 😊❤
I agree with everything, especially the fit me powder 🙄 that fit me line was all the rage in HS. BUT give the peripara moody ink glow another chance! You gotta let it set for 10mins without touching anything. Gives a nice, even, stain without lip liner dry patches. It might help more if you lip balm first then wipe off balm and apply moody ink glow.
I love the snail mucin 😁 I hate the feeling of heavy products on my face, so I always add a little to thick products to help them glide on. It also gives me a nice little glow.
i was also disappointed by the cosrx serum like it was okayy, but there are def better serums out there that provide longer lasting hydration!!
@@ErZi-uo7fm not everything is for everybody. It works wonders for me
Reminder for my loves in the comments: If you’re allergic to dust mites and maybe even shellfish…stay away from snail mucin! I learned the hard way! There’s a much higher chance of having an adverse reaction to snail mucin if you have those allergies.
Thank you for sharing that information!
@@anadacosta4043 No problem at all
Maybe instead of trusting what tiktokers say you should actually read the product description and what it says on the packaging.
The snail mucin helped me with my dry and scaly looking skin + locks in moisture overall! I used it for my hands as well (I have eczema) :D
I use the snail mucin under retinol and it stops any patches of dryness that formed before.
Yeah I think it's pretty clear that it's her own opinion like all other influencers...
I love that elf hydrating camo concealer. Never found it to smell toxic, it's rather neutral and in my opinion far better than the overly perfumed makeup products.
Maybelline loose powder and elf concealer actually worked really well
The snail mucin broke me out sooo bad! 😿
That elf concealer 💯 I thought I was the only one who felt like it smelt odd 😅
That's for you. The nuance is that skin conditions are very diverse. Like you said just because everyone says it doesn't mean it's true for you but it also doesn't mean it isn't true for most people.
Everything you recommend or don't recommend doesn't mean everyone would benefit from it.
loooveeee the peripera ink glow! and I usually hate glossy lip product. Cuz it stains well
Cant go wrong with givency prism libre powder. Its expensive but so, so good. You hardly have to use any so it will last a long time. Best luxury product I own.
Pls try their blush it’s so insanely good. I haven’t seen anyone talk about it but all the shades are so flattering, light and unique. I own two but I need the whole line lmao
Lasts long too, blends so nicely, literally the best blush ever!
Girl this is best honest review with no much drama loved it girlie ❤I want this kind of videos moreeee😊
The fit me powder is ny favorite for the undereyes!! It provides extra coverage
Dude.. no really, DOOD…. You had me at “read labels” of the clothes you buy… but when you call out products like this, I swear I didn’t know I could relate and love a stranger so much. THANK YOU in the most friendliest way, you’re awesome!!!
This is the stuff I need to see watch I’m tired of just seeing you need this and you need that videos it’s over whelming sometimes.
I like the snail mucin but not enough for my current skin situation to keep it in the rotation. I think the claims are a lot but it’s definitely worth a try for some people😅
You are absolutely right about the first 2 ... I myself used them.
What powder do you use instead? I also have an oily face
I absolutely hate that Maybelline powder. Do you wanna look cakey? Please use it! I have dry skin and it's bad for me too. Don't waste your money.
I've tried most of these and really thought there's something wrong with me for not liking these viral products, I mean, some are ok, but really not a miracle like the internet makes them appear. Thank you for the video
The fit me powder is great and ive been using the snail mucin for almost a year and i love it it helped reduce my acne alot
EVERYBODY HAS DIFFERENT SKIN. The trick is to take the advice that relates to YOU and YOUR SKIN.
Except that that product isn't supposed to fade dark spots and smooth fine lines. It's hydrating, plumping and healing. That's it.
Agree with them all 😂 I do like the first bottle, will use it up and go on to something else
I agree with everything you said…except about the CosRx snail mucin. That stuff definitely does fade dark spots, smooths wrinkles, and definitely hydrates. I will never be without it and I know several people who agree
I agree with the snail one
SUCH A WASTE OF MY MONEY
Hated the elf camo stuff 😭 awful.
If youre usonf elf, use the coconut mist setting spray!! Oil makes whatever coverage i use kn my face, but the setrong spray makes it last besutifully!! Its a game changer!
Are you drunk 😂
That specific snail mucin broke me out so bad!
Is the last product the without the filler gloss?
Vaseline works well for your lips at night and is cheaper than all the other stuff out there and you only need a little bit.
Exactly on the money with every single one thats amazing. Is there an alternative for the setting powder?
Fun fact, if you have an allergy to mold you will have allergic reaction to anything with snail mucin in it! My dumb ass took applying the serum 3 times before I realized that's why I was breaking out in hives 😅😂
I feel like everybody hypes elf up, but they are just affordable but no good. I'd rather spend a little more money because they have their old price quality if you ask me.
Laneige sleep mask, snail mucin, Elf concealer, Elf Camo CC cream are al my holy grail products. Although my sister hates the Camo CC cream and she has the same opinion as yours.
I am skeptical about the snail mucin at first until I tried the face mask one before make up and it does help dor me for skin prep. I guess it depends on what you want yo achieve and if it work for you.
Snail mucin is good much to my dismay lol I'm combo oily and got my sixth bottle begrudgingly
The only thing Cosrx snail essence did for me, is massively broke me out
Thanks you for your honest review 👍 But what about Anua lotion ?? I planned to buy it with corsx essence since i heard lot of good things on it on social media but i' m doubting now.
What can you advise me to remove white heads all over the face ( it' s so tiny and plenty) ??? 2- Shrink some open pores ??? 3- And hydrate so much your skin that will give you glass skin ???
I' m on a tight budget and taking savings to buy these so i'll be disappointed and 😡 if all those products are bullshits.
I' m seeking the help of skincare guru, particularly those accustumated with korean skincare products.
The best thing you can get to do all those things for your skin is tretinoin-RetinA
Idk about other people, but Snail Mucin really helped me with my acne breakouts.
You look so different😮
Anyways, i live by that maybelline powder! Maybe chems don't react well w u
i will STAND BY the cosrx snail mucin til i die. it’s sooooooo good
Same with Laniege, Aquphor works way better, for cheaper and yesrs worth of product.
Nope. Snail mucin is awesome. Love it right after toner! Maybe just not for your skin type.
Yes that snail mucin from cosrx just made my makeup and sunscreen peel like crazy
that's the hyaluronic acid, i only use it at night and not with any makeup
Do you have sensitive skin? I use my snail mucin before I apply makeup and sunscreen and never encountered that issue before :O
Finally! The snail mucin also did nothing for me. I thougth I was broken or something. Mizon snail serum does the jon way better
I used the snail mucin and joined the hype but I honestly did not feel any change either. It didn't even hydrate my skin so much, I love Korean skin care but this is just not it for me.
YES! I fell for the Elf Camo Corrector and my skin literally looked like when I had sunburn is peeling off. And my skin was fine and moisturized before putting it on! I’ve never experienced dryness to that degree with any other foundation I’ve ever used. Like sure, the coverage is great, but at what cost??
Glad someone is speaking the truth on the snail mucin
Need to know what’s your favorite powder for oily skin?!
I hated the fit me powder craze from years ago. I thought it was decent and cheap but there are way better powders for all skin types
Omg I couldn’t agree more!!!! On every single one!
The snail thing gave me the WORST acne of my life
Don’t use that thing unless ur skin is like really dry
Mine was mix and it gave me acne imagine oily skin 🤦🏻♀️
snail mucin is meant for dry skin 😭😭 yall use any products that are viral without researching and then cry that it doesnt work like huh ??
I have to respectfully disagree with you about the mabeling fit me powder as an oily girl who lives in the subtropics. That being said, I literally like pack it on across my whole face, I do not skimp on product. And I find that it keeps me less oily than certain. Very popular holy grail powders for people like the one size and laura mercier.
did you ever find a better powder?? i’m struggling out here😩😩
I am allergic to snail muccin and laneige lip mask. Also yes to everything else you said, especially the elf concealer smelled like shit within a few months of opening and bottle leaks which is case for the halo glow as well.
I just saw a dup vid earlier today and I think there’s another lip mask one from MCoBeauty too.
Ive been using the same brand snail mucin moisturizer for about two years and recently and I noticed it started drying me out and giving me weird red spots, they disappeared after I stopped using the product. The brand is great though but they definitely have some hit and miss products imo.
I like this series but can u put the product name when u mention it bc I can't see the brand or know it
