A very good story, chilling and riveting! I really liked this style of story, where the protagonist survives relatively unscathed, with a story of unbelievable events. One has to wonder why the store "owner" would engage the services of an innocent bystander---and moreover, when it was done, why they paid him what they promised.

I think the fact that they paid him at the end is even more chilling - it implies that, to them, this is nothing more than a normal arrangement.
