That thing needs a 80’s roll bar and KC’s so bad! I had that knob thingy fall off on me too. There is a good reason for a shakedown run lol
Haha I bought a rusted out ‘82 about 6 years ago to play around on. Roll bar, KC lights, 37s, it was so badass but keeping it running was like paying child support
I agree with Jerome, Double triple chrome roll bar and 6 KC highlighters.

It is much more interesting when the owner actually works an the project, because,work sets you free.
With that fuel leak, shift linkage and ignition issues he might as well do it himself.

My dad( worked for Ford diesel mechanic for 35 years) has been helping me look for either a 351 or a Godzilla to put in a 90s standard cab

I would say both. Yes, Gold Dust has more carrying capacity being a crew cab, but they both have their virtues.

Lol most people Have never even felt what an honest 5- to 600 hp really feels like, let alone 1000. 1000 is approaching monster truck power territory.

I like Gold Dust but I'm more in tune with the Snickers Godzilla build. I want to know who built your Godzilla motor mounts.... Currently swapping a Godzilla in my 79 Bronco frame off build.
I am so torn too as Snickers is really cool but I have always been a Bump guy since I have a 69F100 and my grandparents had a 67 F250 Camper Special.
Yep snickers is a awesome truck but I think Gold Dust look better, I like Gold Dust more without the bed shell though.

Are you comfortable with the length of the rear drive shaft? I have the same truck (shortbed 4x4) and am concerned about the short distance between the transmission and rear axle. Leaning Coyote for that reason. Any thoughts on that?
I wonder if thy added a wedge under the rear springs ?

No way you can pick a favorite between the 2 trucks. Only similarities they share is the owner and the manufacturer. Other than that they're completely different trucks. Both have their individual pro's and con's but at the end Snickers and Gold dust are both awesome trucks.
You had your pick of all those run of the mill trucks to throw into a burnt out box and yall choose a unique survivor to trash.

Why, oh WHY is this truck an automatic? I've never seen a machine scream so loudly for a stick in my life. Gorgeous truck, though. Love that body style, I have a late '78 F-150 Ranger for a farm truck. 351, 4-speed, 4.11:1 9" and D60. It'll pull like a diesel and climb like a goat, great old truck and one of my favorite bodystyles of all time (and I'm a GM guy).
