Nice to see Channel 2 coming back to life; I love pretty much everything you do (OK, everything), but there's something so compelling about the nuts and bolts (or the bones) of creating music - thanks for getting back to this in earnest!

This bands music is not entirely my cup of tea but it makes me really happy to see a band like this, with young guys, make a mark with young people today.

I was surpised to learn Tim is 29. Looks and seems younger!

That clip reminds me of Liquid Tension Experiment.
"Chris and Kevin's Excellent Adventure" even has whistling on it.

Rick, can you get Tim to accidentally say the date when his new Ibanez acoustic-electric guitars are going to ship?! 😉🤭😂
I love hearing about Tim’s process. It’s nice to see that some younger musicians still care about the collective album and making sure great care is taken to make an cohesive album. I’m 41, so I always enjoyed the experience of listening to albums from start to finish. Most musicians don’t care about that anymore due to the nature streaming. I hope more musicians will follow in Tim’s footsteps to bring albums back to their full glory - not only through the music but the cover art, liners, etc. Even digital music can be experienced with all these aspects in mind . . . but there’s still nothing like holding the album in your hand and flipping through the liner while listening to the tracks.

Do you mean the one he's using in the Playing God video ? if so I just typed Tim Henson Sig Acoustic Electric and got a bunch of outlets, I saw it going for about £600 something. Gonna get it as soon as I finish a busy time I'm having, seems like good value and as an electric player it's just what I need.

I love his technique and skill he is easily moving into one of the greatest ! So young but his music doesn’t move me it has a modern AI emotionless quality to it !!
Which I can listen to but only odd tracks
He’s moving guitar fast forward ! In the right direction I’m not sure ?

@@lukather1 Yeah I know what you mean. Resistance is my favorite album for that very reason, lots of real guitar playing and real drumming ( I understand the new stuff is real drumming but it sure sounds like it was written digitally). The most recent 2 albums feel way too digital for my taste. Not really a fan of the weird trap hip hop beats either, which is why I prefer the albums Resistance and prior. That being said, there's a few great songs on the newer albums.

Complex mixing is interesting on record, but you have to be able to reproduce the record if you play live. I hate going to a live concert and realize that the band can't play its own stuff. I don't have a perfect ear, but I expect guitars to sound as good as they sounded on the album and I expect the solos to be faithful (within some improv leeway) to the original recording that gave me the idea to pay 100$+ for a concert ticket...Deviate too much from that & I'm done with your band.

I could see Tim applying to work cleaning the office at night, at a designer sweater house, just so he could steal a couple of the sweaters that were never released to the public. I think he'd leave money, and an apology letter... but he'd take the sweaters.
