    He should definitely be a nurse. It's a hard job that requires kindness.

      +carmay3600 yes but not in the ER because for some reason even the kindest nurses either give up and dont want to do it anymore (combination of rude patients and staff) or they become rude themselves!!

    • @internalharm
      @internalharm 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      +carmay3600 I know 4 nurses, lets just say if it wasn't for the pay they wouldn't do the job. Trust me most nurse aren't good with people, I like to think about it like the way most people think about lawyers. Lawyers are straight forward, they want money. Most doctor are beating the bush and pretend to care but they want money.

      +John smith Sooooo soooo not true. You may know a few people that are in the wrong profession But it doesnt define all nurses. Last year at Thanksgiving , I had a stroke. Although a Mini stroke at 51 I was treated by nurses who made me feel as if I was the sickest patient on the floor. My admitting nurse , at midnight , explained everything to me with a smile and energy that showed she loved what she was doing. Every hour after my first night I had my blood pressure checked by different nurses all the time. They all did it with a smile and a genuine "how do you feel " . The ones who did it in the middle of the night tried so hard to come in and be fast and quiet so they never woke me 100% I watched as they strugled to see in the dark . (no they didnt mess up because it was dark either) Just so I had as good of a rest as I could. From the ER to my last day on day 6 , I never met a nurse in any depatment I was in that didnt make me feel like my comfort and well being wasnt their number one priority. I maust have seen 30 different nurses. They were the reason I felt I was in great care , not the Doctors . The Doctorz read the test and gave the orders but They didnt treat me as the nurses did. To them I was just a number. I know nurses that work there as they are patients where I work and I know they all say the pay sucks but they stay anyway. They want to be there doing what they do. I am better off today because of them.

    Travis is a shining example. I believe that we have a choice to have negative or positive interactions when we come across people in any situation. It doesn't have to cost you money because a simple smile is free and so is taking five minutes out of your day to help someone in the supermarket etc. So many people, especially on youtube act in a negative way and the result of that is another step away from feeling part of a community.

      Kids his age often want to order & pay by themselves and as a parent you often take that opportunity to let them experience and learn life. Most cashiers would kindly remind the boy he doesn't have enough money and the kid would go back to his seat and tell his mom he needs more $$. Not this time obviously, it's a cool story.

      In the town I live in there's a group of homeless that are forced to love under a railroad overpass, unfortunately said 'camp site' is on a main road and they are visible to everyone passing by and too many are calling into the mayor's office to complain of the "blight". Most of these people have jobs but can't afford housing in the area for many reasons too numerous to list. A few Good Samaritans have provided tents for these people so as to provide/restore/maintain a bit of the dignity they lost because of the Bush Depression, several of the Good Samaritans were arrested for just trying to help out. Also arrested or threatened with arrest were several others providing food and water [I was one]. What really pisses me off is the city leaders and those whining about the 'camp site' or having those trying to help out arrested continue to attend Sunday church services to profess their love for God and Jesus.

    When I was around 12 my friends and I rode our bikes to wawa, I didnt have money I just went to hangout. My friends were all buying junk food and candy while i just stood against the wall. One of the gas attendants came in and offered to buy me candy, I didnt take him up on that offer but it really impacted me at that moment and to this day because I couldn't believe someone would just offer their hard earned money to me like that. It's the little things that make a difference.

    we are all tested at different points in our life. The test will always be giving but our free will to decide on our response is ours. maybe the mother gave him the less amount, to find a good person to gift. To encourage that kind individual to keep that heart of GOLD. When i was little this person name Miles( name may be spell different). He somehow got lost though his travel and got stuck in a bad neighborhood. The outcome was he lost his travel gear, wallet etc. My mother took him in for about a few days until he could get replacements etc. once he got it, he paid her rent for about three month and bought food. We had a big family. Me in my brothers walked him to the bus station to ensure no one would rob him. Never expected anything, but being kind goes along way. I LIKE TO THANK THIS VIDEO FOR REMINDING ME OF SOME OF MY OWN EXPERIENCES. SOMETIME LIFE CAN CAUSE US TO FORGET THESE GREAT MOMENTS. WE NEED TO HOLD THEM. GIVE THEM AS MUCH IF NOT MORE ATTENTION THAN WE DO THE BAD STUFF.

      As a kid who's parents were never 'bad off', I can tell you mum had 100 because she doesn't waste money out. However, she likely gives her kids allowance and tells them they are allowed to use the money however they like. For all you know, that 100 was likely being saved to help pay a bill, or - in my mom's case - she had just gotten it from the bank to add to her taxes envelope that she saves up quarterly. The fact that she felt Travis deserved it just speaks to her having a good heart.
