Explaining “No Body, No Crime”: On the first part of the song, Este suspects that his husband is cheating on her, and decides to call him out, she doesn’t have any proof. On the second part: Este wasn’t anywhere to be found, and her husband reports her as missing. “His mistress moved in, sleeps in Este’s bed and everything.” Taylor suspects that he killed Este. Bridge: Taylor plans to kill Este’s husband, and Este’s sister swears that she was with her the whole time. Last chorus: The police thinks that the mistress killed Este’s husband, and the mistress thinks that Taylor did it, no one has any proof though
@@segund0784 not at all. Rebecca inspired '' tolerate it'' Taylor said she got the inspiration for NBNC from watching too much datetime crime shows 😅 🥰🥰🥰🥰
champagne problems was written by taylor and her bf, its about a girl saying no to a proposal.. and that last chorus is she saying the next girl will do all the things she couldn’t do. (its a made up story)
Este thinks her husband cheated, he killed her, Taylor suspected, Taylor killed him, she framed the other mistress, Taylor didn’t get caught because Estes sister swore she was with her
Champagne problems is one of my favorite songs. She is telling the story of a girl who has mental health issues and rejects her boyfriend’s proposal. During the song, she is telling the whole story. At the end, it is actually her saying that someone will be there for him to “never leave him standing” and be there for him with her picture in his wallet. Truly a masterpiece.
my understanding of no body, no crime, is that the husband of este, cheated on her with the mistress, and then killed este to be with the mistress, while taylor the friend of este killed the husband.
I like how you analyze the lyrics. The end of Champagne problems, relisten to the lyrics. She is not saying she will be there, she is saying he will find someone new and the new girl will not drop his hand while dancing, leaving him standing, and then he won't even remember all her champagne problems because he will have met someone who will accept his proposal. Its not her, the answer is a big no. But, he will meet the right one someday. All the town wasn't surprised she said no, everyone saw it coming, which is soooo true. But, he didn't see it. The friends saw it, they weren't going to stick around, they were going to bounce. Story telling Taylor at its best. The boating license, they (the police) think the mistress did it because she took out a life insurance policy! The mistress thinks Taylor did it, but just can't prove it. Its spectacular. Oh, and Olive Garden was trending and got some good free press and had fun with the twitter storm. If you don't want to react to the entire album, I'll suggest two more. 1. Tis the Damn Season, since it is the holidays after all. This is storytelling Taylor, she's telling a story about coming home for the holidays and staying at her parent's house. 2. Marjorie. This has a good lyric video with actual footage, home videos, and pictures of Taylor's maternal grandmother, Marjorie, who was an opera singer. She took old recordings of her singing and added them as background vocals so her grandmother is credited for vocals on the track. Its definitely a keeper. If you listen to any remaining songs on evermore, I would suggest TtDS for the story and Marjorie because its a special lovely lovely song and tribute to her grandmother. And its the holidays when we think about our loved ones.
champagne problems is a phrase that basically means like problems that aren’t considered problems and tend to be rich people problems. like they’re sort of first world first world problems of that makes sense.
Thank god you actually acknowledged the storyline in No body No crime! A lot of reactors skip past it! Also ur still gorgeous as hell if you’re wondering and smart too! Your reactions are intellectually stimulating
I don’t know if you’ve been told. But in folklore Betty, cardigan and august are all linked. Cardigan is from the POV of a girl who has been cheated on, Betty is POV of guy who cheated and august is from the girl he cheated with
Noo at the end of Champagne Problems, Taylor did leave, and said one day he'll find someone who wont drop his hand, wont drop his heart etc with "champagne problems". It's up to interpretation but i personally think champagne problems refer to first-world problems which most people think isnt a real problem/rich people's problem. So basically in the song, Taylor used "champagne problems" as her excuse to reject him; it's not a real problem in the eyes of others or even herself because she said she couldnt give a reason, he was perfect. So she told him he'd find a girl who wont give him the same "champagne problems" bs. Tho let's make it clear that "I" in the song doesnt actually refer to Taylor. She actually wrote the song WITH her boyfriend 😂 Her boyfriend is a literature major ugh they're a match made in heaven.
basically no body no crime is this awesome ode to Taylor’s true crime obsession. So basically Taylor is at dinner with her friend Este and Este thinks her husband is cheating on her and she’s gonna confront her. After Taylor thinks the confrontation went down Este had gone missing. Taylor thinks Este was killed by her husband. So Taylor wants revenge for Este. So she gets Este’s sister to cover for her and be her alibi and she kills him and pins it on his mistress. And the police think it’s the mistress but obviously she didn’t kill him so they can’t prove it. And the mistress thinks Taylor killed him but again she can’t prove it.
And folklore and evermore is the first time that she didn’t write from just her perspective. So they aren’t all autobiographical for her. If you have Disney+ you should watch the long pond sessions. She explains the songs on folklore and performs them
Would love for you to watch Taylor's lyric videos for folklore and evermore because your reactions are so fun but you're missing a lot of lyrics lol (also the lyric video for Marjorie, one of the songs on evermore, is essential viewing!!)
I just want to recommend you to have the lyrics ready to read them when you hear the song or get headphones so you get better experience for the lyrics and the music sound!
Also, I would love to see you react to the love triangle on folklore. cardigan, august, and betty. All three are from a different POV of someone in the love triangle, but told at different points in their lives.
My favourite song are . Nobody, no crime Gold rush ( about her relationship with popular people and everybody wants the person setting next to her ) Dorothea( about her friendship with Selena Gomez) Marjorie ( her Grandma ) Champagne problems Willow This damn season Ivy Happiness Tolerate it And as a swiftie mixer I am so happy u are reacting to Taylor swift . 😭
Fun fact: Champagne problems is about Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber. It was when Selena was dealing with anxiety and bipolar disorder. It was also the time where Justin proposed to her but she wasn't ready. So they had to split up. Try connecting the song to this situation and you'll get a lot of things!
Champagne Problems are the kind you wish you had when comparing them to real world issues. Like, 1st World Rich People Problems. Now these types of situations *will* leave a mark of some sort, especially when the mentally unwell are involved, and since mental illness is often glossed over as unimportant or, "it's not as bad as {this 'real' thing} because it's only in your head, stop whining", it's like a double entendre. She knows breaking up with someone is NOT the worst thing to happen in the world, so while it IS a problem of a sort, it's not that big of a deal. But also, the character's mental health affects her interactions with her ex-lover, and mental health issues are often assumed to be not that big of a deal to society. OR she could just mean it in the sense that the character has an addiction to alcohol and simply turns to the bottle the moment things even get remotely problematic because she can't handle things appropriately.
i think that for the next reactions u should read the lyrics while you're listening to the songs. i guess you kind of missed some stuff bc of that and u get less confused whilst trying to figure out what the lyrics mean and everything. so i guess that would be good

Does that mean she might have murdered? Wow
@@aisenfamily9136 I mean, inside the story Taylor killed Este’s husband.
But she obviously didn’t murder anyone in real life lmao

In the end of champagne problems she says he's gonna find someone the loves him the way she couldn't.

How does everyone miss the fact that Este is murdered by the husband 😂
react to All Too Well it is a song from her 4th album Red and it's fan favorite.

Yeah it’s time. This NEEDS to happen.
@rr ummmm the lyrics and the way she is singing it.
@rr watch a live performance of it
THE GRAMMY'S PERFORMANCE!!
No no no no no...shes not talking about herself at the end of Champagne Problems. She's talking about the girl thats gonna replace her.
actually its taylor's boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, playing the piano in champagne problems (also in the title track, evermore)
What about loml? 😭
Favour: I really love the strength of the woman thats being cheated on...
Me: honey she's dead...
Hey "i disgree" is a nice album of poppy anyways

You are quickly turning into one of my favorite reaction accounts next to queen Ajay.
Dont forget ash and zach
what happened to AJay??
este was actully the wife that was cheat on and murder, taylor was just the friend that later become the murder's murder
She has lyric videos up for every song! I feel like that would probably help in your reaction since so many of these songs are lyrically dense 💗
"good thing his wife took a big life insurance policy" probably means that will make everyone suspect the mistress murdered him instead of Taylor
my understanding of no body, no crime, is that the husband of este, cheated on her with the mistress, and then killed este to be with the mistress, while taylor the friend of este killed the husband.

you should use her lyric videos. She packs so much into a song it's helpful to have the lyric up. 🙃
React to cardigan - august - betty (all from folklore) those songs are different perspectives from a love triangle story taylor created
