    Fascinating recap & great job on a tough race! I know I wouldn’t have survived the heat or direct sun, even if I did the whole thing naked 😂

      @runelitecoach  ปีที่แล้ว

      lol. I thought the sun would be so hard. But it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought. You could do it

    Congrats on your race; I do not know how you can run your fastest 3 miles at the end of 100 miler! Great job and I love the beauty of the desert night-time sky!

    I live 3m from my job, we have a locker room so I’ll run to and from. I’m loving the idea of 3 a day, thankyou!

    Congratulations!! It's amazing to hear how you went from "I might drop " to practically sprinting the last 3 miles. I'll never be in contention for the podium, so my priority is to truly enjoy the day. The food, the views, the atmosphere, the volunteers, the conversations with other runners as the mile flies by. Skipping all of those things would shave quite a bit of time off my race, but it would also shave off my enjoyment of the day and many of the reasons i do these crazy races. I'm definitely adding Javelina to my bucket list. Looking forward to more ultra content!

    thanks for the video -- I'm running this next weekend, and it's forecasted to be a high of 93 degrees. i believe last year was high of 83 and low 64. What were your approximate lap splits? Also I'm surprised to hear you got so cold you had to put on 3 layers and a snow hat when it was in the 60s and you were running...

    • @runelitecoach
      @runelitecoach  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’m pretty sure it was well below 60 at night. I didn’t measure it but it was cold AF the two hours before sunrise. I just ran a race yesterday shirtless and it was in the 60s and I’m normally not doing layers and a hat unless it’s below 40. Like I say I don’t o ow what the temp was but it was far colder than mid 60s It’s moot though. Doesn’t matter now. Good luck and have fun

      @@runelitecoach not trying to argue with you lol, I was just looking up temps from the last couple races to see to compare. But yeah I'm worried about the heat Saturday, current high is showing 94 degrees

    • @runelitecoach
      @runelitecoach  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The heat wasn’t that much of an issue. It’s relatively dry, so you get hot, but you’re not pouring sweat all over the place, which is nice. They have cooling stations at every aid station, so just maximize those cooling stations. But long-term if we can shed Body fat, and reduce the sodium in our diet, we’re going to fare much better in hot conditions
