RIP UECKER
RIP legend
You can sort of understand the Koo Dae-Sung at-bat jinx because he was a relief pitcher, but...the announcer probably didn't know Korean baseball very well.
Koo didn’t hit in the KBO or NPB either which makes it amazing
Mr Koo? Hahaha he had a weighted ball in his jacket pocket too. 😂
i remember watching that Koo game live. Incredible stuff.
The Koo Dae Sung clip is wrong because Mariah Carey's 'Fantasy' didn't start playing
that would have been pretty good.
That's kinda Jose SIri's bag. Outstanding defense and mediocre hitting but strangely good pop. He tends to be all or nothing.
this was a highlight of the season lmao
Deep fly to left by castellanos
I am reminded of a game in May 2022 the Mets were in San Francisco and a heckler kept heckling Jeff McNeil having no power. McNeil hit a homer in that at-bat.
How do you not have Tim McCarver's "He's not gonna throw to first" literally seconds before Jon Lester picked Tommy Pham off first base?
rip to the best announcer ever.
We will miss ya Ueck.
You left one out, there's game 2 of the 2005 World Series, with Brad Lidge pitching after having given up a huge homer to Albert Pujols three games ago, and Joe Buck says maybe they could have had him pitch in the next game to "get that taste out of his mouth", to which Tim McCarver replies "I don't think that taste is there", and then immediately on the next pitch he gives up a walk-off homer to someone who hit zero home runs in the regular season
Koo hurt himself sliding on a baseball he kept in his pitchers jacket. That play gets celebrated way too much considering that career ending injury.
career-ending? he pitched eight more seasons in korea and australia and even came out of retirement at 48 to keep pitching in 2023
His MLB career is over and he pitched in South Korea and... Australifuckinga? Yeah, his career was over after that injury.
@ i think we have different definitions of career-ending, but australifuckinga was too funny to ignore
That time the Cardinals player was leading off first base super far off Jon Lester and the announcer said “He’s not going to throw over” followed by the runner instantly getting picked off

That A’s announcer is the worst, absolute worst announcer…it hurts to listen to her call a game
You talk too much
