Imágenes de la Procesión de la Cofradía del Descendimiento con sus dos Titulares: Santísimo Cristo del Sagrado Descendimiento y María Santísima de las Angustias, a su paso por calle San Agustín y Duque de la Victoria en la tarde del Viernes Santo.

La imagen de Jesús del Sagrado Descendimiento fue realizada por el imaginero Luis Ortega Bru en el año 1980. A las mismas gubias corresponderían las tallas de José de Arimatea y Nicodemo. Su hijo, Luis Ángel Ortega León, tallaría a Nuestra Señora del Santo Sudario en 1987. San Juan, María Magdalena, María de Cleofás y María Salomé son obra de Ricardo Rivera de 1984 a 1985. Procesionan todos ellos sobre un trono de madera barnizada realizado por Julián Sánchez en 1989.
María Santísima de las Angustias fue realizada por Antonio Castillo Lastrucci y llegó a Málaga en 1978. Luis Álvarez Duarte intervendría sobre la talla en 2011. Realiza su estación de penitencia sobre un trono de orfebrería diseñado por Juan Antonio Sánchez López y realizado por Santos Campanario en el año 2006.

Easter week in Malaga
Holy Week in Malaga, is an ancient tradition that dates back to the age of the Catholic Monarchs. Holy Week in Malaga, is very different to that celebrated in other Andalusians or Spanish places, and those who go to Malaga for the first time will be surprised, as the Passion Week there is not lived with meditation and silence, but it is full of happiness, noise, cheer, spontaneous saetas (flamenco verses sung at the processions) and applauses as the images pass by.
Some tronos (floats) of Holy Week of Malaga, are so huge that they must be housed in other places different form the churches, as they are taller than the entrance doors; real walking chapels of over 5,000 kilos swung by dozens of bearers. And also military parades playing processional marches or singing their anthems along the route. All this do not imply a lack of religiosity, but it is just the particular way that people from Malaga live their faith and feeling during the Holy Week.
Thus, the processions of the Holy Week in Malaga, offer a unique appeal in Spain, not only for those who participate in the processions, but also for all those visitors and tourists from throughout the world who spend the Holy Week in Spain and are interested in admiring the visual impact of the processions and all artistic manifestations that can be seen from a secular perspective.

No es las flores!!! Es la Banda de Música Maestro Infantes de Los Barrios (Cádiz)... Ha acompañado musicalmente a las Angustias durante los dos últimos años... A pesar del buen tándem, no ha habido acuerdo de renovación.
