This video is just showing my current settings on Gears 5.
I discuss my opinion on button re-mapping and single stick movement...

Thanks for sharing for a noob player like me this helps allot after watching this imma start playing classic alt to check it out. Also I have always used the camera while wall bouncing but you clarified one of my biggest doubts and it makes sense about the wall bounce being slower when using camera while bouncing. Limitless I like how sophisticated and knowledgeable you are at the game.I didn’t even know gow4 had that broken option you mentioned,I don’t know if other gow TH-camrs I spotted it but that’s an amazing observation.well done.as for me,well my sensitivity is 30-30-30 on default for gow3,gow4 and gow5 but i haven’t played the last 2 games that much so I wouldn’t have that much experience like you do. I’ve tried changing to alternate but couldn’t adapt to it,so what I did to solve my problem was I watched a bunch of gow2 & gow3 videos and I found out that my playstyle is thumbs & claw.
Please keep up the GOW content as long as your interested. It's cool to learn tips from you.

Single stick is in the game for accessibility. It's in the game for a good reason! Couldn't have predicted it to be exploited like that.

How are you mate, good video, you are the first person, that I saw using that kind of settings, I always end up, trying high values, and copy the settings on people's video's, but I always struggle to aim, and frequently lose my direction on game, gonna try this out, and certainly will stay with this settings for a long time, you should create a channel with only gears material, I'm 38, and fortnite in my opinion is a total kids orientation game, stay cool(and safe) and count another subscriber, 👍👌

Can you please be more specific with the order of wall bounce? Move the left thumbstick first press to bounce then move the camera angle? Or move the camera, press to wall bounce and move the left thumb stick? Which order is it? This would greatly help!
It's not about what sensitivity you play on, or how fast you are. Gears has a wide range of skill sets which makes it unique and one that I always go back too. There is a playstyle that counters each playstyle out there I believe. When it comes to wallbouncing, unpredictability, shot placement, and timing of when to take your shots is gonna be the 3 things that will make or break someone. Usually resorting back to sitting in pocket aka "corners or barriers" and using that left trigger harder than ever. Gears of war is the fighting game of shooters for sure.

You’ve got a nice voice to listen too, would like more commentaries instead of just gameplay with music if you have the time. Just my opinion I feel like commentaries can be listened too any time, music edits you kind of have to be in the mood to watch.

Good video, I really don’t enjoy what they did to wallbouncing in gears 5. It’s beyond easy to learn and there’s not much to master. Gears of war 4 was hard to learn hard to master, resulting in a crazy high skill gap that people like myself could try to master. I don’t like how slow the sliding into cover is, but that’s my opinion. Also I don’t like how in gears 5 you can wallbounce to a wall directly behind you, when in previous gears you would roll.

He plays classic alt so his run button is x and his cover button is a which means he can spam a without rolling if you have your run button on the same button as your cover it makes you roll when spamming
When i play 11 years gears multi. I can learn bounce? Its look. Hard for. Me
Left stick bouncing seems harder in 4, any idea why that is? I always use at least some camera movement in 4.
Mizzy in gears 5 you can left stick (side to side) from a farther distance in gears 4 you have to move your camera a little from the same distance
How do you wb with only left stick? I thought I'm supposed to point at the cover I'm trying to get on
Both sticks work. Left stick is better so you can aim while you’re bouncing

Gears 5 is lit people tend to complain about to many little things. Compared to other shooters gears is the most skilled game trust me I’ve literally played em all regardless how u set up ur controller that shouldn’t matter
Dude i can't get to grips how you bounce like that, you're not even looking at the wall?
Its left stick only. He's staying at a distanace to where the game will let him slide in between walls but he has to go it quickly in between them otherwise he'll lose the distance and likely role

I play with an elite controller and its super hard to do this bounce with the paddles. i wonder if you could pull it off.
It’s not hard bro, it just takes time. Look up chase OP. He’s the best alt bouncer and he uses paddles.

I run on Lb en bounc on Lb
I tried to play on classic alt but I can't bounce from wall to wall, I straight up just stick to one wall while trying to bounce.
I watched many tutorials but they never specify to me on how you wallbounce just like default scheme, if you can give me some tips or pointers I'd appreciate it

Try it with single stick first once you get it then turn off.
Do you play thumbs? Claw? Or paddles? If you’re playing thumbs that could be one of the reasons why you’re sticking to walls. Gears 5 classic alt is made a little easier compared to GOW4. Try classic alt again, try it with button remapping when you replace X with A. What I noticed with Omni and Analog movement turned off you’re really restricting yourself from using all angles when bouncing. So keep both turned on, but obviously controller sensitivity is all personal preference in what you feel is comfortable. But when you find that comfort sensitivity go into a private lobby and just practice. Take it slow, learn to just bounce from wall to wall and get a feel for how classic alt operates it’ll take time so don’t expect to be hyper bouncing like a sweat in a couple days lol Then try wall cancelling from side to side by changing directions with either your left or right thumb stick while also pressing A. But you have to also take into account the distancing of each walls or covers when sliding into them. Short distances when sliding into cover you have to react faster to wall cancel otherwise you will stick or miss roll. Wide distance cancellation is a bit easier where you can actually have just a little more time to react when bouncing and changing directions. Also I noticed that some characters have different types of wall magnetism when playing as a skinny character like the terminator and Kait or big body characters like Marcus and the Scion, it’s weird when you pay attention to how they interact with wall magnetism. Once you got the hang of it increase your hand eye coordination speed to really bounce like a pro. Hope this helps.
Play on pc and you will be able to bounce like everyone.
