Difficult not to tear up on this song, isn't it? I'm a 75 year old male (same age as ABBA) and I was teary eyed. This song is as good as anything they've done.

Agnetha herself gave an interview, yesterday in Sweden.
One sentence I won't forget and can't be more true, was:

My father and I heard the song together when it was released. Dad started to cry and said he felt like 18 again. Abba don't follow any trends or give in to any media "Zeitgeist" ... they are their own level and they manage to be icons in every era.

I have to ask, did your Dad name you after Benny Andersson or is it just a coincidence? It is so pleasing to see a new generation embracing the magic and wonder of ABBA and their music. Sadly, my eldest two children (26 & 24) never shared my love for ABBA but my youngest (11) has become an ABBA fan and is starting to rediscover the magic of ABBA that I experienced in my youth.

Remember folks ... Anni Frid Lyngstad is 75 and Agnetha Fältskog is 71. Can you imagine singing so sweetly at this incredible age? I hope I can be even one tenth as good when I reach their age. These two wonderful ladies have absolutely gorgeous voices - the liquid smooth alto voice of my favourite, Frida, is beautifully counterpointed by the lovely crisp voice of Agnetha. And together the boys lyrics and music make ABBA an incredible super group. I remain proud to say I started following this amazing quartet in 1974, and I still have their vinyl albums. And like many others, I am so exited they are back!
ABBA, Thank You For The Music.
    The songs you're singing.
Thanks for all the joy they're bringing.
Who can live without it? I ask in all honesty.
    What would life be?
Without your songs and dance, we'd make a fuss!
So I say thank you for the music.
    For giving it to us.

After 39 years, they still have the magic. They sound amazing, the lyrics are so heart warming. This is what the world needed. The timing could not be more perfect. And with Abba, you know it`s gonna be high quality, always. As an Abba-fan since the 70`s, I can hardly believe this is happening. This song is so beautiful with Frida singing the lead vocals, and the other song, Don`t shut me down with Agnetha singing the lead, is amazing, too.

It is in the range around C5 to G5 where the magic happens. This range is the mezzo's highest this is where the steel comes in the mezzo mixed with the headvoice of the soprano.

Hi, it's great to see such appreciation of ABBA from you. Being a vocal teacher, you truly connect and value the beautiful voices of Anni-Frid or Frida (whose voice is of mezzo soprano) and Agnetha (whose voice is of a soprano). And let's not forget the exquisite vocal sound when the 2 overlap to create beautiful harmonies and the two geniuses, Benny and Bjorn who beautifully compose and provide lyrics for all of their songs.
Frida lends her voice as the lead vocal in I Still Have Faith in You while Agnetha leads in the other song Don't Shut Me Down.
Couldn't wait to hear you reacting to the other song Don't Shut Me Down for it's definitely a more dancy and up tempo tune.

Holy cow! I just found out that Frida is an honest to God Princess! Princess of Paulen (where ever that is!) She will be 76 years old this November, Agnetha is 71 right now. Impressive! They sound better now than most young kids! Very rich and full voices.

The lyrics are layered too, especially in these challenging times. Thank you for your reaction!👍🌷🌷🌷❤️

    🧡 ABBA !
WELCOME BACK ! WELCOME HOME !
ABBA has relit the magic ! The dream is still alive ! ABBA's new anthem !
You seem to only be listening to the music, and there is only a still shot on screen. If you want to pull tears, do watch the official video production of this song. I cry every time. As a member of the original generation that helped propel ABBA to global stardom, this is pure PLATINUM, and I am thrilled this day finally arrived.
Thank you for this great reaction. Oh, and do yourself a BIG favor and listen to, and react if you will, to their "DON'T SHUT ME DOWN." It's classic, iconic ABBA.
For the love of music, and ABBA - Peace.

What a glorious reaction. I teared up when I first heard this, then again as I watched your reaction. Aside from their vocal prowess, I've always loved their diction, so clear, so precise. I know emotion and tidyness don't always ride together, but hey, that's how I like it.

Wonderful to see your joyful and emotional response to this epic song. My heart was partly uplifted by the joy of the build in this song, partly broken by the beauty of it and the older sounding vocals here and there that add a wonderfully fragile layer that wasn't there back in the day. Hearing THOSE voices and that hallmark sound again just catapults you back to days gone by when the world was a simpler place. A wonderful, comforting blanket of a song. Thank you for your reaction.

I really love that they made no attempt to adapt the ABBA sound to 2021. The other single "Don't Shut Me Down' is even more classic ABBA! Great stuff. I never was even that huge an ABBA fan, but the nostalgia factor of the new stuff really gets me.

Both are true ABBA, this one is more along the lines of "The way old friends do", a ballad and "Don't shut me down" has the qualities of the big hit masterpiece, like "The winner takes it all".

Good God. I'm stunned. They're voices and harmonies are as great as they were in the 70s! I knew they'd sound great but I thought after this many decades you would hear at least a slight change if not in quality. then in tone due simply to age. This is incredible. Not even the slightest detectable difference. Great lyrics and song also.

You can definitely imagine this song sung in a Broadway show.
Yes, it is about forgiving, about putting conflict behind and concentrating on the greatness of the other person. It fits in perfectly with several of ABBA's earliest hits like He Is Your Brother, Bang-A-Boomerang, and People Need Love.

Anne Frid Mezzo-soprano 76 years old lead on this. Agneta 71 years now is soprano... All in ABBA is between 70-76 years of age now. And they still got the same magic as when I grow up with them... Emotional for me, this is my youth and my upgrowth music in Sweden.. Coming back...
My interpretation is this song is about them as a band. What they been through. And that they as all humans sometimes do, question themself.. Do I still got it in me?...
But as in almost all of their songs they leave room for the listener to put in what they feel and their life in the song and their lyrics. Witch other band could come back after 39 years and still touch hearts... Can't think of any..... Except ABBA And they are all such genuine and down to earth easy to love person's...

Nice genuine reaction! You mentioned Bjorn and Benny doing musicals after ABBA. For a voice teacher it might be fun to react to 1 or 2 songs from Chess and Kristina, because they worked with some fantastic singers in those musicals. Tommy Korberg in Chess and Helen Sjoholm in Kristina. Helen has an iconic performance from Minnesota of the song "Du måste finnas" (the Swedish version of "you have to be there") and Tommy´s version of Anthem is fantastic.

I cried my eyes out when I heard them too. They are in their 70's & are still wonderful, such emotion shows with each of them.
