Each year the Packers draft someone that Tom doesn’t like, he comes closer and closer to transforming into a cartoon character 😂😂😂 Never change Packers
After week 3 I’m wondering who is a better nickel corner in the NFC than Branch. He was absolutely all over the field yesterday against Atlanta. Something like 11 solos, 4 TFL, 3 passes deflected. Several monster hits delivered. He was everywhere.
@@LighthawkTenchi no we didn’t. Witherspoon will be a pro bowler. Then we made the smart move by trading back and we then go and get non 3 down back to replace a good, much cheaper back (we’re gonna be paying like 13 million a year for backs for three years), then we panicked again when Bijan was gone. We then take a LB at 18 with much superior talent on the board who had a 99% chance of falling to the second (we could have easily gotten him at 34) and the reach again for Laporta who was probably the 4th or 5th best TE. Branch was the smart move but he will never be #1 DB and is more of a slot corner (which is why he fell). We approached the draft like we were a couple of pieces away from a SB (we aren’t). It’s gonna hurt to be paying first round rookie contracts to two players who were second rounders. It really didn’t get any better. Trading up in the third to get a guy slotted as a late 5th rounder (hello Matt Millen). It was amateur night.
And then the Lions had 152 and 159 and actually turned down GBs offer of 152. Detroit held until GB accepted 159 for a guy many had a first round grade on. Insanity.
Brad Holmes has absolutely no issue trading with division rivals. I’ve always felt is was overrated when people said never trade with a division rival. Who cares, if it works, it works.

Week 18 2023 season how this draft class is looking. Branch is balling out for the lions. Damn miss for the packers for branch. Luke musgrave has contributed and injured but ceiling is high 5th round was clifford and wicks, which i say looks really nice atm. The Bears gave up multiple first round and other super valuable draft picks to move up one spot (yes one friggin’ spot) to pass over Patrick Mahomes and get Mitch Trubiski instead. It set the franchise back at least three years and cost tens of millions of dollars in the process. That has to be one of the very worst decisions in football history. So, I’m not feeling a whole lot of sympathy. If there’s one player in the NFL more valuable than Mahomes, I can’t think of him
Grossi: Pease give me Darnell Washington Packers: We select Luke Mustgrave! Grossi: Damn it! Time to get my drinks in after I do this! (Grabs a pillow and goes into a five o'clock meltdown.)
Well I believe Tom is once again wrong as Darnell Washington didnt go until the 3rd round so most teams knew something about Washington and that he wasnt 2nd round material. I think Musgrave was the better choice. Grossi is usually wrong with these picks. Last year he demanded (WR) Pickens and we took Christian Watson....well how did that turn out? Pickens was nothing compared to Watson. Time to let the Packers front office do their job as they know what they are doing.....not you Tom!! LOL
Tom is funny but not much of a GM. The Lions couldn't have had a worse draft. Washington has knee problems supposedly. Musgrave is a bigger faster version of Tonyan and I think Kraft could be special. I think we can handle a safety that will make a lot of tackles 20 yards down the field in the division.
I’m a Lions fan and I pretty much agree with you. People have been fooled into thinking the Lions panic reaches were some brilliant 4D chess moves. No, it was just amateur night. In fact, our first round was so bad people literally can’t process it. There is zero….ZERO chance Gibbs would have been gone by 25. Why not trade out again and get anything? Why not take a JSN, Campbell and for a little trade back in at end first to get Gibbs? LaPorta was a reach as well. Our offseason after a good start went bad. We let Williams walk and get a lesser quality back in Montgomery for more money. And please Lions fans stop with this “well with the Lions O-line he’ll get 1200 yards”. NO, HE WONT! Then we let Chark walk to get a completely washed up Marvin Jones Jr. Then, we let one of the most dynamic players in the league with a puny 1.2 million contract ask to be traded because we dissed him. Did Lions fans not watch those last 10 games? It was Chark, Williams, and Swift who were leading the way. And not to mention we gave Okudah away for absolutely nothing. What the heck was the harm in keeping him his final year? We also cut Houston and pulled him off the practice squad, so instead of keeping him on the roster with a minimal salary we gotta pay him now.
Hahaha, what are you smoking? The Lions first five picks alone were ranked as the best in the entire NFL this year by Next Gen Stats! They got upgrades at pretty much every position they drafted a guy at, and the only people who are whining and complaining are the morons who think that positional value is a thing! Brad Holmes just went out and told everybody exactly what he was going to do to make the team better, and nobody stopped him from doing exactly that!
