    I put the 241 on my 200 last summer and love it after having the death wing wash out with me several times on highway. It easier to pull over in curve now and doesn’t dance every where on gravel dirt roads highly recommend

    Good review. I bought both Shinkos by mistake and put the 241 on the front for my daughters TW. I aso bought a stock rear tire for it to be on this spring. Try some instant Japanese Misso soup next time you want a warm drink. It's real tasty.

      Misso soup huh? I'll check it out for sure! The next tire I think I want to try is the Dunlop K180. They make fitments for the front and rear so it could be nice to have a matching set. Could be a good fit? I really like the flat track style tread they have though.......I think that is the main reason I want them. I ran the sr241 on my gs400 to take it everywhere on gravel, trails and adventures. A narrow 3.0-18 front and the 3.5-18 rear was the best combination. I tried the 244 but hated them. 241 treat pattern is very much like a typical 'trials bike' where you'd expect you'll need good grip in all sorts of terrain.

    Just ordered this tire this afternoon. I read a lot of forum posts and watched a number of videos (including this) and it’s sure hard to find anyone saying anything too critical about the tire. Sweet! I really hope it turns out well for you. I have more than 1,000 miles on it now and it has been great. I love the feel and confidence it gives on pretty much everything I have taken it on. I had about 2,500 miles on the stock tire and I was pretty happy with the change. I have messed with the air pressure as well to find out what I like the most and I am sitting at 18-20 psi and it does most everything I need it to so far. The sand dunes I could have dropped the psi a little more but I will next time.
      Hey, looking at your channel and the content you create is pretty sweet! I love those ol' lever actions and I have an old Winchester 30/30 my dad gave me almost 20 years ago. I love that rifle! Thanks for watching and for the comment. I gotta go watch some of your videos now!

      @@MOBStreet83 I’m sure it will be a huge improvement over the stock tire, even though my cheap ass got my money’s worth out of that one. I logged most of my miles on the TW on pavement and well-maintained gravel roads. I’ve done a fair amount of off-roading on more traditional dirt bikes, in the past, but the TW200 has been largely a commuter and grocery getter since I purchased it new in 2014. It’s been sitting under a bed sheet in the garage for the last five years or so but that’s going to change this year.
      My parents bought a camp, way up in the Great North Woods of Maine, about 2 years ago. There are hundreds of miles of ATV trails, accessible from the end of our driveway. They run right to the Canadian border. It’s mostly hard-scrabble rock piles and loose gravel mixed with some huge granite boulders and shelf for rock-hopping. (No sand dunes though.) I’ve explored some of it with my dad’s Kawasaki Mule but it seems like perfect terrain for the TW200. Thanks for the recommendations on tire pressure! I think I’ll put the TeeDub in the back of my Tacoma and haul it up there this summer.
      Thanks for checking out my channel, BTW! I’ve subscribed to your channel myself. I’m glad to have found a channel with so much TW200-specific content. I’ve been working my way through a bunch of your videos over the last 24 hours.
      It’s interesting how many people who love the TW also enjoy the shooting sports. When I was riding the bike almost daily, I’d take it to my gun club and I was constantly running into other TW200 enthusiasts there.
      Keep up the fine work, brother!

    • @MOBStreet83
      @MOBStreet83  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was a huge improvement for me and I haven't regretted it once so I hope it works well for you. That would be an awesome place to ride the TW! I would love to make it over that way some time. Maybe, when I get this TH-cam thing to be my full-time job I will see if I can make it over there. There are a lot of folks here in Utah who use the TW for the shooting sports. Lots of my family and friends use it for hunting and have been happy with what it does for them and where it can take them.
      I just subbed to your channel and I am looking forward to more videos! Thanks again!

      @@MOBStreet83 you would definitely enjoy it. It’s really fun terrain. Let me know if you ever do.
      I’ll be a full-time TH-camr in about seven years, whether my channel gets huge or not. I’m taking my government pension at the earliest possible moment.
      Motorcycles are a much safer topic than guns. TH-cam has been screwing me over on monetisation for months now.

    I hope you were OK at 0:41. I think the front washed out because the rider weight was on it. By shifting your weight back, closer to the rear axel, you'd unload the front and get over that rough patch more easily. Also, carrying more speed (momentum) would propel you over obstacles better :-) As always, impressive scenery! Thanks for the video.

The front could do with beads for on road driving as the balance is a bit out, I especially feel it when cornering.
      In the rear I alternate between the bridgestone and a kenda 80/20 on off road depending on what terrain I do most. Changed the rear rim to tubeless and that's made a world of difference too.

    Hey Matt,
    I ordered the SR241 to replace the "death wing". I'm going to run the stock TW34 on the rear. Can you comment on how it handles on the pavement i.e. wet conditions, grip, vibration, etc? I'm going to be using my Tdub for 70% street, 30% off-road for the foreseeable future. The majority of my riding will be well below 50mph. I'll mainly be commuting around town on a mix of smooth and rough paved street. My commute to off-road riding will be around 10 miles on pavement.
    I was really torn between the SR241/TW34 set up and getting the Bridgestone TW203/TW204. A lot of people in the forums said the TW203/TW204 set up was really solid for pavement and longer highway commutes, but it sacrificed off road capabilities and was less reliable/predictable in loose dirt and gravel. I think I made a good choice, but there's not much I can find about a predominate street riding experience with the SR241.

      Man I love the SR241 and stock rear tire combo! I have ridden with it more than a thousand miles now and I want to run the same setup on my other TW. The Road performance of the SR241 was a noticeable difference over stock. I have had it over 55 mph and there isn't any vibration nothing but confidence on the pavement. I ride the road with it all the time and my wife prefers that setup over my K180's on my other TW. I prefer it as well and it is a great all around setup. I think you made the right choice by choosing that tire.

      Hey Johnny, thanks for taking the time to comment! They are heavier than the stock tire but one thing that helps is the tire pressure. I run 20 psi in the front tire with the Shinko SR241 and it feels lighter and more agile than the stock while offering tons of grip. Tire pressure makes a big difference but if you have already done that and you still aren't happy with it, I'd try another tire. Hope that helped!

      Congrats on the new bike! I installed the 4.00-18 and I have loved it on the road. I haven't had any issues with it at all. I don't drive crazy with it but I haven't had any issues with lean angle or anything while riding. I think it is worth the investment. Good luck with it!

    What would you recommend for the rear tire?

    • @MOBStreet83
      @MOBStreet83  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have actually been pretty happy with the stock rear tire. I have had it many places and it has done pretty well so far. I have the Dunlop K180's on my 2021 and I haven't been nearly as happy with them.

    What about the rear tire? What’s the best off road rear tire?

    • @MOBStreet83
      @MOBStreet83  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You know, I am not sure! There are only a few options out there for the rear tire, unless you go with an ATV tire. I don't recommend it simply because they are two different tire designs. But, I think the next one I want to try is the Dunlop K180!

      They are ceramic beads that go inside the tire and stay in the off weight part of the tire to even out the tire balance. I've used them in my Harley for years so I had them installed on this when I changed the tire.
