my uncle played these guys my band's demo in his taxi a while back. they actually listened, said 'it took 5 years of hard work together to make an impact on the music scene' to him. Just shows the lads are the real deal!
Just over 10 years ago, I saw these guys in the Barrowlands in Glasgow. It was one of the best night of my life and it was my first rock concert. I still have the t-shirt with all the dates on the back!
Ive seen these 5-6 times live. Superb. When the Riverboat song is played, just take your brains out. Superb. Best live band this country has produced in yrs.
I love the bit when he sings "by the way you like to cheat on your soul" and simon goes mental with facial expressions. I want that as a repeated gif for forum avatars pl0x! Ocean Colour Scene: the reason I started songwriting...
This video reminds me of when I went to see them live at The O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in November 2001. We were lucky enough to be seated at Level 1 seat numbers approx. 4 to 11. Whilst OCS were performing this song I made eye contact with Simon Fowler for at least 30 seconds or more! Unbelievable but True!!!
My Father got me into them, and have to say they're rather good! Far better when you see them live, the atmosphere when Steve goes on the guitar solo - epic...
Looking foreward to seeing OCS Tues, I used to play Moseley Shoals to death. Classic original British sound. Didnt need to rip off any tunes like Oasis
I know you posted that 8 months, but that's the best light bulb joke I've heard in years!! Peed myself laughing....Irony is that I have a few mates, who think OCS are great & Weller is shite!!
OMG when did enjoying music get so political and how old am I now?? I love this song cos it good and the person who asked if it same guy from the Stranglers I say -Dear, there is at least a 20 year age gap!! lol....now where my comfy slippers...
i belive ocs are still top band,,if as comments above about pw r somehow true..fuck pw until hes dead and then some..even though i grew up with the jam s/c and so on.!
@knowvirtuoso - Jimmy Page is great! I cant deny that, but I think this track is well balanced with a really good vibe to it, nothing overpowers the other parts of the band so it just flows really well. Jimmy page would be too awesome for it lol :P
i happen to like both, they probably are more musically competent than oasis, but they cant write songs like noel gallagher can, hes the ace up the sleeve, yes he may 'draw inspiration' from other songs but as paul mccartney said 'good artists copy, great artists steal'
Pretty cool I prefer Fours Sticks by uh, Led Zeppelin. Ya know they NEVER sued anybody! They understood the inevitably derivative nature of music & inspiration plus they're RICH
Yeah, because if there's one well-known fact about LZ, it's that they never ripped anybody off. Also how does this even resemble Four Sticks? Because it's a repeating riff? Christ, people are so dense.
That black drummer is in my list of top five coolest mother fuckers ever to have lived,,,, Up there with Steve McQueen and shit!!!! Have you ever seen such a drummer with a cooler style than that!!!!
Love the maracas. A great 90s tune would not be the same without one!
my uncle played these guys my band's demo in his taxi a while back. they actually listened, said 'it took 5 years of hard work together to make an impact on the music scene' to him. Just shows the lads are the real deal!
I freakin love this track and i love playing that riff- boom bap a dap bap pap
those were the days!

pure class. what a live band. never had a great album though and this is from a massive fan.
I can remember seeing these guys at Glastonbury 1997, this is by far the best song they ever did :)
one of the all time underrated guitarists in steve craddock, up there with squire if you ask me `owt.
Cradock, what an excellent guitarist!
I love the bit when he sings "by the way you like to cheat on your soul" and simon goes mental with facial expressions. I want that as a repeated gif for forum avatars pl0x!
Ocean Colour Scene: the reason I started songwriting...
Most under rated band of the 90's if not ever. Beautiful poetry.
Paul Weller was so devoted to his music he kept changing style
One of the best songs ever! Totally love it!
Indeed, one of the best rock albums of the 90s by a fucking mile.
This video reminds me of when I went to see them live at The O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in November 2001. We were lucky enough to be seated at Level 1 seat numbers approx. 4 to 11. Excellent reminder....absolutely amazing tune!!!
Looking foreward to seeing OCS Tues, I used to play Moseley Shoals to death. Classic original British sound. Didnt need to rip off any tunes like Oasis
I'm performing this next week live at ivory blacks, it better get the place jumping, I absoloutly love this song x
what a great song and album this was.
They must have disliked it because of the quality of the video and not the song and group ;) this band is pure class.
Legends, absolute legends!

classic!!!! second best band in britain!
Lol, Simons clearly high as a kite on ecstasy here 🤣 luckily it doesn’t affect his performance which is off the scale as usual 😎 Long live OCS 🙌
Cracking guitar.
Great band
Would love to see anyones recording of this from Cypress Ave in Cork from Nov 2007??
I know you posted that 8 months, but that's the best light bulb joke I've heard in years!! Peed myself laughing....Irony is that I have a few mates, who think OCS are great & Weller is shite!!
Temazo!!!!!!!!1
pure magic!!!
=)
@scarborostud
I love OCS too. the Day we caught the train does have similarities to I am the Walrus....
ahhhhh god so awesome
Temazo, me encanta!!!
You on something mate? Moseley Shoals is an awesome album from start to end, not a bad track on it!
Classic.
OMG when did enjoying music get so political and how old am I now?? I love this song cos it good and the person who asked if it same guy from the Stranglers I say -Dear, there is at least a 20 year age gap!! lol....now where my comfy slippers...
This was at Stirling castle I think.
Awesome song aye! Don't know if I agree with second best....there are so many good ones. But interested to know who your number 1 is?
class
Just read a comment explaining that guitar is too hard/heavey?? One of the best guitarist ive heard !! sorry
0:16 - BUM WA BA DUM PA PA
God he's took some serious drugs here.......as for the song. Amazing
epitomises the '90s.
@PUMPKIN1080 ...well said matey.
ah ya i know what u mean! thats a valid point!!! hahaha
you wanna narrow that down or are you gonna leave us just to dwell on it?
believe Liam and Simon both sung on that version. T'is rather good.
@timmis1971 Haha...tis a good joke. I won't take credit for it. A mate told me it. Doesn't go down well with all OCS fans.
i belive ocs are still top band,,if as comments above about pw r somehow true..fuck pw until hes dead and then some..even though i grew up with the jam s/c and so on.!
thought it was Merrs Hendrix or Clapton.. great guitar here..
What a rift : O
Can anyone tell me, why did these guys never make it bigger than oasis?
Your English teacher must be proud.
ocean colour scene with noel gallagher would be sumtin special!
Which song did they rip it off with?
@PUMPKIN1080 I couldnt of said it better myself.
How many members of Ocean Colour Scene does it take to change a light bulb? Depends what Paul Weller says...
Who is drumming in this?
@PUMPKIN1080
TOO TRUE :)
Quality
@knowvirtuoso - Jimmy Page is great! I cant deny that, but I think this track is well balanced with a really good vibe to it, nothing overpowers the other parts of the band so it just flows really well. Jimmy page would be too awesome for it lol :P
fuckin class..!!!!!!
haha, I agree with you.
another good west mids band
7 dislikes. cancer to them and their loved ones. only slow cancer death though
not that it matters one bit.
and?
No, I did it on purpose
i happen to like both, they probably are more musically competent than oasis, but they cant write songs like noel gallagher can, hes the ace up the sleeve, yes he may 'draw inspiration' from other songs but as paul mccartney said 'good artists copy, great artists steal'
Schweet.
there better than the jam, well i relate to them more than the jam anyway, maybe its an age thing (23)
yo dvd bedford, you need to chill out.\
@PUMPKIN1080 fuck me dude, that was my life!
Too much cocaine haha
@yorkshiretractors
Yes...Reni from the Roses is king.
much more musically competent that oasis, didn't make it as big because they didn't get into the tabloids enough
simon fowler is a regular at the pub I work at
good lad, but he doesn't tip for shit
moooooooo
Pretty cool I prefer Fours Sticks by uh, Led Zeppelin. Ya know they NEVER sued anybody! They understood the inevitably derivative nature of music & inspiration plus they're RICH
Yeah, because if there's one well-known fact about LZ, it's that they never ripped anybody off.

bassist looks like a young liam gallagher ha
@mycrate :) you can do better?
I was 18, bought the CD, heard it and it was ok... but the guitarist has a too heavy guitar..
audio & video are out of sync.
That black drummer is in my list of top five coolest mother fuckers ever to have lived,,,,
Up there with Steve McQueen and shit!!!!
Have you ever seen such a drummer with a cooler style than that!!!!
What’s his skin colour got anything to do with anything?
