      Guys help me out I don't get it, first he said multiplication is abbreviation of addition so we need to add first but it doesn't match with BODMAS

    good teaching method, your approach to explaining concepts is great, I think my teacher were good and dumbing things down without explaining the concepts behind the math very well, (they may not have known and were going by textbook alone)

    3+4x2 what comes first ... addition. 4+4 then addition +3
    when you know that it is actually all addition, you can do it in any order you fancy.

    I've seen so many people solve PEMDAS just the way it is. So when Division comes first and multiplication second, they always say solve multiplication first and then Division second. But that is not right. PENMDAS is there to memorize, but it is not telling you to solve it PEMDAS order.

      Actually it’s both since some mathematics are ambiguous as Woo says it himself th-cam.com/video/Irv7ioa-1II/w-d-xo.html

      Its badly written. It can be both answers when laid out like that depending on the system you use. Its clearer when put into fractions

    So what goes first, Division or Multiplication

      @When_will_I_find_love 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Neither because they both essentially affect the initial number the same way, in other words, it's your choice!

    • @sandyfigs3603
      @sandyfigs3603 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually it's from left to right, so if it's bedmas it would be division first and then multiplication

    • @OivvV-x1l
      @OivvV-x1l ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @sandyfigs3603 the left to right isn't for reading the Acronym; its for evaluating the equation( or expression ) which contains these operations

    Doesn't division come first normally?

    • @carultch
      @carultch 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Division and multiplication have equal priority, and are evaluated left-to-right in the order they appear, assuming they are both specified explicitly. The order that the M & D appear in the acronym is completely arbitrary.
      Depending on who you ask, and whose standards you are following, implicit multiplication, or multiplication by juxtaposition, might take priority over division (PEJMDAS or PEIMDAS, as opposed to PEMDAS). Depending on this notation to specify the order, is an example of communicating poorly and expecting others to read your mind.
