The hair dye verse is so crazy. So many things packed in a couple lines. In fact there's at least one more in there with the "Nice and easy." There's a Nice 'n Easy hair dye brand.
That was an awesome verse. I think by “lightning in a bottle” was a double because when you dye your hair (e.g. blonde), you’re lightening it from the bottle of dye. Maybe Knox said that but I’m not sure.
@@connieerickson5193 there was a spray that you either left in your hair and went in the sun and it lightened your hair or you could activate it with a blow dryer. 'Lightening in a bottle' was a slogan of one of them.
The line before where he says "Clear all" is another Dye reference to Clairol which is another hair dye. So insane..

You are exactly right and I was just thinking the same thing and this song is an exact interpretation of that decline, a killer hook.... amazing beat...She laces a nice verse...Em takes it to something next level and this song is bordering on an epic track...then she comes on at the end for no reason and pisses down her leg in a weird unnecessary incoherent rant that pisses down the leg of the whole song and almost undoes everything and leaves with a WTF feeling on the whole song!? I'd almost goes as far as to say she added that after Em did his verse because he wouldn't put his name on that. He would and has demanded the best out of everyone or else would not put his name on it!

I think Romans Revenge was more lyrical while this song was more polished snd had a nicer beat. I think Romans Revenge is more popular because it was early Nicki when she was at his best and Em was in Recovery Mode at that point & really started to dig in with he word play and delivery at the time

Knox I think you missed part oft he peanut butter lyrics. She goes from Jiffy (a brand of peanut butter) to skippy (another) so there is the connection of lyrics between rhyme schemes as well.
Bro this song is incredible. I love when Nicki is in this lyrically dense mode. She can easily be one of the top artists in the game when she's on this level of lyricism. But then she goes off on her more pop-rap stuff and it's eh sometimes. Em's in rare form too. I think these two have some kind of dynamic where they feed off each other and lift each other up, it's actually impressive. One of the best tracks hip hop's had in a hot minute.
