    I hope your parents appreciate how driven and innovative you are. I'm a technology consultant to the automotive industry, working with teams of world-class engineers who develop CAD drawings, design engineering systems, manufacturing systems, write lots of complicated code, develop robotics systems, build autonomous cars, etc and you are basically self-learning all those core skillsets. The way you've established your file naming convention alone demonstrates you have an aptitude for this. Keep it up Captain Bob, and an Engineering degree will be yours one day, with a well-paying job that you're really going to enjoy. You may be paid handsomely one day for just this kind of "tinkering" with cool things. Well done Sir.

      @@CaptainBobSim thanks man ! I will make some improvements in the upcoming weeks. Right now I'm working on extending the build size of my laser cutter in order to make bigger panels ! Follow on insta. @emecreativelab

    MATE MATE IMAGINE IF YOU ADD A WORKING PROPELLOR (that doesnt spin too fast) THAT WOULD BE SICK

    • @CaptainBobSim
      @CaptainBobSim  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would be sick! Doesn't have enough ground clearance, but I'm sure we could figure something out.

    Looks great, keep up the great work, we are all eager to see more, and hope you will share your design plans so we may all have a Captain Bob's Cessna 172 Home Simulator.
    Thanks!

      Thanks Daniel! I've made the decision to make all of my plans and drawings available to the public for free! The flight simulation community has given so much to me and I want to give a small portion of it back :)
      Here is the Github for all of the files. Files are only uploaded once I have tested and approved them, so remain patient :) github.com/CaptainBobSim/The-Cessna-172-Project-V3

    Think you will get much better graphics with TVs than projects

      Good point! I'll have to consider this.

    Hai Captain,
    Try to keep it light. You could do with less thickness, on both the stringers, panels and skin. Not forgetting the floor and wheels. I think you can add another parameter, weight of plywood. To monitor the actual weight of the design. Especially applying the skin will give a lot of strength. While designing keep in mind where you want to put you're screens. And which screens. Big screens or even plasma tv's can weigh a lot. Will it be placed on that part of the shell? Will one of you're wheels have a reachable brake?
    I really need to be working on mine fusion360 skills, so much more to offer than Acad. Liking it!

    • @CaptainBobSim
      @CaptainBobSim  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Excellent points, I never considered these as design considerations and will look more into the weight. Thank you for watching, you always have such good insights!

      @@CaptainBobSim You definitely have some brain space vacant. (U might use other materials for the skin like EVA or XPE foam sleeping mats (cheap)).

    Great brother , I was looking for a built video and hope can learn as you built. what are the length of profiles and bars?

    • @CaptainBobSim
      @CaptainBobSim  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Here's another of the build videos :) th-cam.com/video/VLxLpTMmKnk/w-d-xo.html
      I made each section 24" long, so that's how long the "stringers" are.
      You can find all of the CAD files on the GitHub github.com/CaptainBobSim/The-Cessna-172-Project-V3/wiki/How-to-Download-Models-from-Links
      You can always measure the model from the A360 Website files :)
      This is part #1-1-000 for the spreadsheet.
