Yes, because the U.S. is so large, it can take a few days to a week to get things from the Amazon (they have distribution scattered across the country). You can get same day service in some of the large metro areas. There are a lot of remote areas (I live in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains) it can take awhile, especially with the snow right now, but it beats having to drive down to the valley to shop.
Sometimes I forget that the US has ‘real nature’ I always picture the big cities! The UK is so incredibly mild, it can be hard to imagine. We might get perhaps one inch of snow, once a year if we are lucky. I live in an incredibly flat area which is considered countryside but that just means plenty of fields and forests (we call them woods). Remote areas in the UK are rare. I think we have a couple islands called Jersey and Guernsey that have small populations and hardly any services. But that’s about it. It’s a bit like living in a bubble in the UK 😅 nothing really dangerous goes on. But I also can’t even picture what it’s like to see an actual mountain range either! 🙈
@@MumsyWordI spent two weeks in the UK last year. I didn’t want to come home😂 There are so many castles and history. The US is a toddler in history, and so much of the indigenous history was mostly erased. Your public transportation is marvelous( I train travelled from Brighton to Inverness and made stops all along the way) and the April weather was perfect!
@@madkat530 I’m glad you enjoyed your visit! The UK is definitely castles and old churches galore! 😅 I actually only heard recently that the US doesn’t have the same reliable transport system that we have. And once again I assume that’s due to the US size and remoteness. But over here we put a lot of emphasis on being able to have public transport wherever we are 😅 we also conserve a lot of buildings and only specialist builders are permitted to make repairs with the old materials and methods!
i have winnie and reneigh, i count julian as a hore bc unicorns are hoases with horns lmao. julian was an auto fill so im not very attached to her @@MumsyWord
Buck is one of my favorites. Apollo too! Beau is a cutie pie
Beau is really cute! I’m not sure he fits the theme but I’m going to keep him for a while at least 😅
Congratulations on a great villager! Best wishes on your continued hunt for Julian. :)
Thank you, I’ve not even seen Julian since I started my island 🙈 I’m sure he’s out there somewhere! 😅
When I clicked on your video I was not expecting your voice. You have such a beautiful voice and I loved the video!
Thank you! I appreciate it 🤗
