- The Christmas Spirit is alive and well in Grand Central Terminal. We see numerous arriving and departing trains at the “Holy Tabernacle of the Rails”

You didn't comment on it, but I noticed an awful lot of empty seats on those trains. How much of that can we attribute to the pandemic and to the riding and commuting habits now. Back in the "old days" those trains would have been packed, and even had standees. I wonder how long it will take - if ever - to get back to that.
Grand Central Terminal is an impressively beautiful, striking,. magnificent place. I know just how close we came to losing it, like we lost the old Penn Station. Not that the Moynihan Train Hall isn't impressive, I'm glad I got to experience the old Penn Station years ago. By the way, looking at those train boards in Grand Central, I couldn't find Willoughby...lol....Nor did I see Westport - Saugatuck.

I guess when it comes to passenger loads I try to have an attitude that the glass is half full instead of half empty. For the most part, I try to be optimistic about things because I believe that negativity is contagious. If you look for good things, you’ll find a lot of good things and there are a lot of good things in this world I try not to dwell on the negative.
From what Mn employees say, ridership has rebounded considerably. I saw a number of trains with standees
@@3985uprr I wasn't being critical or trying to be negative. I simply made a point and told it like it is. It isn't just Metro North. All transit systems are going through this same thing now, including N. J. Transit. You obviously took what I said wrong.
@@Jeff-uj8xi no I didn’t take it wrong I’m just speaking from my perspective. I hope ridership rebounds again, although it will probably be a slow process.

Grand Central Terminal has scaled back their Christmas decoration, but it is good to see the tactful displays of the season.

I don't like trains like the one at 9:12 because those of us who live in Mount Vernon have to wait longer for a train and those semi-express trains are always empty. It's a waste to have them not stop at the stations in Westchester's southern end.
I have a question. Why does the shoreliner cabs have the names on them
Even some of the blue striped cars do.
