Thanks for the upload. Victor Tarhanoff was my great uncle and I believe his nephew Barry Dwyer rescued these films. He had a projector in his house and as little children thought his movies were awesome.

It was 75 Years ago today (19th February 2017) that the Japanese launched the first Air Raid on Australian soil on the Northern Territory Capital and Port of Darwin - Thank You NFSA for making this historic film accessible to all! - You can see the Kununurra Museum You Tube Channel for an 8 Part DVD about CAC Wirraway A20-62 that force-landed on coastal saltmarsh near the WA-NT border on March 20th 1942 - Wirraway-Challenge - A story of Survival & Rescue in the far north East Kimberley.

What a fantastic bit of film. Many of those shots I don't recognise and I would like to hear a narrative of where these places were. Priceless footage indeed.

My grand father John Roberts was a telegraghist in the Darwin post office and arrived in January 30th 1942 and till the bombings of Darwin and he jumped in the trench with three of his mates and sent up a back wireless Morse code telekinesis machines on the overland telegraph line at Adelaide river army camp
