Use them for shots for drinking games (loser obviously has to shoot the drain pour) or mixed drinks. Or add benchmark FP to the eagle rare to try to save it. Try glasses with varying amounts of FP to get the right mix fit a 25$ fix. You could try the FP for the august/castle etc as well.
Nice! Thanks for the tips and recommendations! I will have to blend these to see if I make them better at all. I like the Benchmark FP idea. Thanks for watching, cheers 🥃
I was fortunate as my Yellwstone SiB have been very good. The regular Yellowstone needs time to open and even then not great but after I got below the shoulder, think about halfway, and letting it sit for months it was great. I use ones I don’t care for for samples and for grilling
Definitely agree with you on the Yellowstone. I bought one of those a few years ago and it had a very nasty aftertaste to it. After letting it open up for a few weeks and going back to it a couple of times, nothing changed. Down the drain it went. I ALSO will be drain-pouring Beyonce's whisky, SirDavis. I REALLY wanted to like this whisky since it has such a cool bottle, but it tastes awful, bro. :(
One bottle I have been trying to power through is Woodford Double Oaked... I have tried to like it and can't. I am so mad at myself for buying Starlight Cigar Batch, it tastes like trash. Also, I am not a fan of OGD 114... I know controversial, but I keep that for my visitors!
That’s a great idea Brett and I will be doing something like that. Will be doing some sample giveaways soon. Thanks for watching and for the comment! Cheers 🥃
I was the same way with my Nulu honey barrel. Liked the first bottle, then my pallet changed. Drain poured half of the second bottle after trying to enjoy it. About ready to drain pour my Nulu Double Oak as well. So grainy and not complex at all.
I bought a bottle of Frank August and don't much care for it. I bought a pour at a restaurant and found it decent. Feel like whatever batch I got was a dud.
That’s what I think about my bottle as well. People speak highly of it so maybe I got a bum bottle. Sorry to hear you don’t like yours either but at least I see there are others on my same boat. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! Cheers 🥃
If you’re a bbq guy try this. Pour the whiskey into the water pan of the smoker. I did it with Stillhouse and the smoke initially smelled had a vanilla smell to it.
Have not had most of these, but as someone who likes ASM, that Clermont Steep is so awful, I think it is Beam’s attempt to sway people away from ASM. Really bad, like sucking water out of a towel that was left in the washer for a week because no one transferred it to the dryer.
Pro tip if it's salvageable I will blend in thebglen crappy stuff with other crappy stuff for a unique poo. Or try and save it with Benchmark fp or other low price glen 'savior' options. But ya for some there is no saving them from the drain grave
I’ve LOVED all the Elijah’s, but the A124 was the worst. Added some water and powered it down lol
Wow, sorry you felt that way about the A124. I could see how some of the ECBP batches could not be liked. Thanks for watching and sharing, cheers 🥃
I drain poured ancient age, old crow, dickel
Thanks for watching and sharing your choices. Yea some of those bottles would be on my list as well. Cheers 🥃

Thanks for watching pizza! I appreciate you sharing and commenting! Yea I liked the regular yellowstone at first but now. It so much. Cheers brother 🥃
The only drain pours for me are a George Dickel 13 Year BIB bottle and a Boondocks 18 sample. 🥃
Hey Dave, I agree on the Dickel 13 yr BIB. I’ve never tasted the boondocks 18 but I’ll take your word for it lol. Thanks for watching , cheers 🥃

They go in my mixed drink section
That’s a good idea Jamie but since I don’t do mixes it will be kind of a waste of space still. Thanks for sharing and watching. Cheers 🥃
Ur list is right on
One bottle I have been trying to power through is Woodford Double Oaked... I have tried to like it and can't. I am so mad at myself for buying Starlight Cigar Batch, it tastes like trash. Also, I am not a fan of OGD 114... I know controversial, but I keep that for my visitors!
What about sample out the bottles or something? Some people might like to at least try.
That’s a great idea Brett and I will be doing something like that. Will be doing some sample giveaways soon. Thanks for watching and for the comment! Cheers 🥃
I've been eyeballing that frank August...would definitely like a sample if you go that way
Combine all of them in a mini oak barrel and age it for a year
I was the same way with my Nulu honey barrel. Liked the first bottle, then my pallet changed. Drain poured half of the second bottle after trying to enjoy it. About ready to drain pour my Nulu Double Oak as well. So grainy and not complex at all.
Drain pour Infiniti blend. Maybe they can be saved if they are blended together. Probably not but worth a try
I do it. Also add some decent but cheap stuff to the bottle. If its young then add an oak spiral for a couple weeks
I give them away at liquor store parking lots. Always takers happy to drink them.
I’m lucky there’s a guy at the bar that drinks anything. He even thinks Malort is ok. So he gets all my otherwise drain pours
lol, we all need a friend like that hahaha. Thanks for sharing Gandy! Cheers brother 🥃
I have wanted to try Castle and Key
I bought a bottle of Frank August and don't much care for it. I bought a pour at a restaurant and found it decent. Feel like whatever batch I got was a dud.
That’s what I think about my bottle as well. People speak highly of it so maybe I got a bum bottle. Sorry to hear you don’t like yours either but at least I see there are others on my same boat. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! Cheers 🥃
Seeing that muddy water inside a bottle of Eagle Rare hurt my heart 😭😂
Yes, I feel your pain. It’s a good example of how not to blend whiskey. Thanks for watching, cheers 🥃
Blending with Makers Mark cast strength has saved many drain pours. One it couldn't save was Balcones Rye.
If you’re a bbq guy try this. Pour the whiskey into the water pan of the smoker. I did it with Stillhouse and the smoke initially smelled had a vanilla smell to it.
Can I get a sample of the hunny ER?
Woodford reserve wheat, Isaac Bowman port finish are two that I probably will drain pour.
That glass looked off. Looks like tea😂
Yea it definitely did not look good, I will have to try and blend that one. Thanks for watching brother, cheers 🥃
Castle and Key #1 is Straight up Shit!!!
That pour looked like mop water. 🦅🧹🤮
lol, you are right Steven, it didn’t look good at all. Mop water is the new term for bad whiskey hahahaha! Thanks for watching, cheers 🥃
@@WhiskeyCorner Wait till I introduce the trophy I got for last place in blinds on my videos. Haven't used it yet but it's coming soon lol
a few of those looked like dogwater 😂
Yea man, some of these are sketchy lol. thanks for watching brother! 🥃
Also thanks for saving me money on Frank August. That was on my wish list.
definite drain pour is st. Augustine
Woodford Double Oak
Frey Ranch Farm Strength Uncut
Garrison Brothers Small Batch
tried to like it but definetly not for me.
Thanks for watching! I totally agree on the Frey ranch and the Garrisons small batch. Thank you for the comment, cheers 🥃
Big fan of the Miner Bros channel but that looks like ice tea. Might be decent in mixed drinks.
Have not had most of these, but as someone who likes ASM, that Clermont Steep is so awful, I think it is Beam’s attempt to sway people away from ASM. Really bad, like sucking water out of a towel that was left in the washer for a week because no one transferred it to the dryer.
I’ve got a couple of bottles that would put these to shame on the drain pour list. You want some samples?.
Pour half a glass and add more regular eagle rare
satisfying for me to see Frank August on this list. Such an overhyped bottle that you couldnt even convince me that the whiskey inside is worth $25.
Ok don’t drain pour those send them to me I’ll take them off your hands.
I had the same thought lol
The Castle and Key Wheated is much better, in my opinion.
Pro tip if it's salvageable I will blend in thebglen crappy stuff with other crappy stuff for a unique poo. Or try and save it with Benchmark fp or other low price glen 'savior' options.
But ya for some there is no saving them from the drain grave
Wanna sell that eagle rare I live in Florida I collect eagle rare
Dickel bib 2005... terrible...
Thanks for watching and for the comment! I knew some Dickel would show up on this list and I will agree with most of them for sure! Cheers 🥃
