i know this is a joke but people are allowed to make businesses out of anything they want. a lot of effort, time & money goes into finding the best priced things, making everything, getting shipping supplies, paying taxes, taking pictures, creating listings, etc. people make things and sell them because not everyone wants to buy the supplies to do it themselves, no matter how simple it is :)

Let's say you sold a ring for $3. The supplies to make it cost roughly .50¢ depending on the quality of your material. Shipping supplies cost at least $1, depending how much effort you put into it. Depop takes 10% of every listing sold, so that fee would be .30¢. Paypal takes 3.5% of every transaction, so that fee would be .10¢. If you're planning on selling a lot, you have to do taxes as a business. Rule of thumb is to save 30% of every sale for what you'll owe on taxes. That takes away .90¢ of what you made. It takes at least two hours to make the ring, take decent pictures, create a listing, package your item, and take it to the post office to ship. You don't wanna be paid for any of that time? Even if we're thinking just minimum wage here, that'd be about $15 - $20 to figure in.
After all of this, without paying yourself for your time, you'd make about .20¢ profit. If you used better quality materials or factored in the time you put into it, that'd be a negative profit. There's a reason things are sold for much more than you'd spend making them for yourself.

I re-watched your video and realized the 'craft wire' they sold me at The Home Depot was not the right wire! I also have never seen anyone run the wire thru a second time like you do. Girl, I'm straight up vibing w/ you during this video. Little tip, if you do use thicker wire, it would be a hella lot easier if you use the pliers. I was in a welding course, & we had to use wire a lot. Let me tell you, the pliers were a life saver!! Be careful too when handling the wire too bc it could cut you if you place the ends in a bad area!
I personally use gems/stones because like how the colors are but this is amazing!
