- Well... I admit, I do feel guilty for shipping this lol. Even for me, they are a lot to deal with.
... but come on, the show is literally playing with the idea of it, and those two have such a wild chemistry, and I still think that Negan deserve a better romance than the crappy stuff they wrote for him in season 11. And what a ride it would have been, if they managed to make it happen with Maggie. I don't think it ever will. With what happened with Glenn, it will always be too much for Maggie to just even accept him as a... idk, friend or whatever. Just too much to even accept him being alive.
But god, I actually wish I'm wrong on it. Prove me wrong, writers, found a way to make it happen.

I have the feeling that they at least find comfort in each other due to the shit they've been through. They're definitely going to trauma bond and even though I do kind of ship them because of that I don't think they could develop feelings for each other. Negan for Maggie? Maybe. But definitely not the other way around.
Yeah that make sense, I agree that they do found some kind of comfort and trauma bond, does I have some hope they will DARE to make it canon, in a way or another ? a little bit because hell, it would shake the entire fandom, but I'm not sure it's realistic to hope that, guess we will see tho! Thank you so much for my edit ! Yeah they are a ship kinda... special we will say lol. I think the fact that he killed Glenn probably add fuel to the fire for the idea of the ship (you know, more forbidden it seems, more it's attractive) but I really understand that !
I never liked Glenn. So I didn't care about his death and Abraham's death.
And let's be honest the world is different in this TV show. It's apocalypse world. So teem "normal" changed, mental reactions adapted. What was impossible became possible. Even this ship.
But everyone keeps saying that Maggie can't love the killer of her husband and bla bla bla... I think Negan may not chose Maggie. She is badass woman, and I guess he likes it, but he is just a man and he will chose a woman who actually likes him. Like alpha or Annie or Lucille. Maggie is a hypocrite and thinks she is better (she is not). It's not sexy. I guess no one normal man want to fuck a woman who looks on him like he is nothing.
I tend to neither like nor approve of the judgment/hate against Maggie within the fandom (I think people don't realize the hell she went through and I'm not just talking about Glenn, for which I was also quite indifferent to) but I agree on the fact that mentalities are changing in this world and that what seems impossible in our current society would become more easily possible in this world. @MissEleanorVane I don't hate Maggie at all. I just don't see her as a better person comparing to Negan. For me they are the same. Both have difficult past.
He is definitely not a hero, but neither is she. And in tv show 11 season her people often told that she is great leader and a great person. That's debatable. I guess most people, who survived, are bad, and they fight with each other and they fight with those people who are much worse. It doesn't mean that they can't love or care. But they are still bad people.

She is hurt and she hates, having every right to do so, and he is trying to atone for his guilt and regrets. I love Glenn, I didn't want him to die, but he died, and now it hurts.But he won't fix anything, and she won't bring back the one she loves. This causes pity in the eyes of the enemy, she clearly did not expect that one day her enemy would sit opposite and repent.I hope they don't become a couple, but some kind of reconciliation will happen.Everything has changed, and the price of revenge will be turning into a monster
This is a nice comment about them. I have this vague dream that they could become a couple, but in a realistic way, and I don't know exactly how they could realistically bring that about, probably in a very tragic way, with maybe an ending where Maggie and Negan both die, where they're forced, or something like that, I think that would be interesting, because it would be unprecedented in the fandom and even in a lot of fandoms, and the show needs some boldness at this point.

I think at this point, it's way more complex than that and what they developped between them is much more interesting that if she just killed him. Idk what their end will be, but I do hope for something more deep and interesting than just killing him, at this point, he's not more a bad guy than she is, than all of them are.

I think all of this is way much more complicated than this, with this mentality, all of them are psychos then, Maggie included. The fact that she become more like him and him more like through the seasons is such an interesting path, and it started before Dead City, there's just a lot of opportunies of good scenarios and character development between them
